A family in San Anselmo is seeking a reliable, loving nanny for their sweet 4-year-old son. He is an active boy who goes to preschool from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. so they need care from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday. Responsibilities include picking him up from school and driving him to activities, engaging with him in play, child’s laundry (and ideally family laundry 1-2x week), light meal prep for the family (or cooking for the family if someone enjoys doing so!), as well as tidying his bedroom, play areas and common areas.

Their ideal person will foster their son’s interests and creatively engage with him. Someone mature, upbeat, genuine and dependable will be the best fit. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to find a nice family to work with for the next few years!

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in another language also welcome (their son knows some Portuguese and Mandarin)

Qualifications

  • COVID vaccinated
  • Tb and Tdap vaccine
  • CPR
  • Safe and valid driver; it is critical that candidates have a clean driving record (family will provide household car for work-related driving)

  • Energetic and can easily keep up with an active young child
  • Comfortable holding boundaries; kind but firm

Responsibilities

  • Pick up child from school and drive to afternoon activities

  • Simple, light meal prep for family dinner (if candidate enjoys cooking they’d love if someone wanted to make meals, but not required)
  • Light tidying: child’s lunchbox/snack tray, running dishwasher, keeping child’s bedroom and play area clean and include him in picking up; tidying common areas such as wiping down kitchen counters, etc.)
