Number & Age of Children: Two children: E (1 year old) & A (6 years old). You will mostly be in charge of watching E since A will be in school for most of the day (you will only have her about 1 - 1 1/2 hours each day, unless school is closed for the day, etc.)

Compensation: $23-$25/hour  DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Commitment: Minimum 1-year commitment but preferably 2+ years. Ideally looking for a nanny who would like to grow with the family over the years and build a strong relationship with the girls.

Who We Are:
We’re a close-knit, easygoing family with two lovely daughters, ages 1 and 6, and a friendly 9-year-old German Shepherd mix (no pet care needed but want to point out in case of allergies). Our days are filled with laughter, curiosity, and plenty of outdoor play, with beautiful parks and a neighborhood pool nearby. We both work from home most days, but have to go into the office occasionally.

What We're Looking For:
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable, and compassionate nanny who will become an extension of our family. Empathy, open communication, and kindness are core values in our home, and we hope to find someone who embodies these qualities in their interactions with our children. Gentle parenting techniques are essential to us, so we’re seeking a nanny who can handle big feelings and behaviors with patience and understanding.

Our ideal candidate has experience with both infants/toddlers and school-aged children, and can foster age-appropriate learning and play. Someone who communicates clearly and nurtures our daughters’ growth, independence, and joy is a perfect fit.

Responsibilities:

  • Your main focus will be to watch E while A is in school and provide a loving environment for her to grow.
  • Engage in developmentally appropriate activities with both children.
  • Prepare snacks and meals for the children but mostly just E.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the children, such as cleaning up toys/tidying the play area, washing their dishes, etc.
  • Supervise outdoor activities (we have access to parks and a pool).
  • Handle big emotions with empathy and maintain a kind, compassionate approach.

Pets: Odie, a 9 year old German Shepard Mix who won’t require care but important to note incase you have allergies.

Position Perks:

  • Friendly, laid-back family environment.
  • Paid using a payroll system.
  • Guaranteed Hours
  • Access to parks and a pool for fun activities.
  • Supportive parents who value communication and will treat you as part of the family.
  • 2 Weeks PTO, paid holidays and paid sick days.
  • Treated like a part of the family.
  • Weekly fund for outings/fun things to do with the girls.

Qualifications:

  • CPR and First Aid Certification (proof required)
  • Non-Smoker
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal work authorization in the U.S.
  • Be comfortable and not allergic to dogs.
  • At least 4-5 years of paid childcare experience, especially with toddlers and school-aged children.
  • Background check required, no cost to you.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record (though driving is not required, it's important for potential outings).
  • Ability to provide 3 professional references (at least two from past/current employers).
  • Ability to commit for at least 1 year.
  • Passion for working with children, with a focus on kindness, patience, and empathy
  • Must be comfortable supervising children in the pool.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and set boundaries.
  • Must be up-to date on vaccines and boosters.

Additional Expectations:

  • Ability to navigate big emotions with patience and provide a safe space for the girls' feelings.
  • Clear communication regarding sick time; we ask that the nanny does NOT come to work sick, and we will provide the same consideration.
  • Open to feedback and willing to work collaboratively with us on routines, schedules, and outings.
