Description:

A welcoming and affectionate family in Twinsburg, Ohio is seeking a flexible and nurturing nanny to care for their soon-to-be 3-year-old & 7-month-old.

Their almost 3-year-old daughter is a bundle of energy and personality! She's empathetic, spirited, and a bit shy at first but opens up quickly. Her imagination shines through in pretend play and she loves anything hands-on, from playdough and coloring to building with blocks, and insists on helping care for her baby sister in her own sweet way (with careful supervision, of course!). Right now, she's on the exciting journey of potty training.

 

Their 7-month-old daughter is a little charmer with a big smile—though she’s a little fussy and can be soothed by being held close. She’s just about ready to crawl and spends plenty of time exploring with soft, age-appropriate toys. She’s breastfed, dairy-free, and beginning baby-led weaning, though bottle-feeding can be a bit of a dance! She’ll take it when she’s in the mood, but if not, she’s quick to swat it away.

 

Mom and Dad are caring, active, and busy professionals in the health field, always making time for family fun. They love taking walks to the park, playing outside, and making library trips together, and they're excited to get back to camping and hiking when the kids are a bit older. As parents, they focus on consistency, teamwork, and encouraging creativity—pretend play and a little messiness are all part of the fun! When big emotions come up, they pause, allowing their eldest to fully feel and work through her feelings without judgment. They believe in gentle, respectful parenting and do not spank and avoid raising their voices. With a friendly greyhound/plott hound mix and two 6-year-old cats in the family, pet-friendliness is a must!

 

In their ideal scenario, they’re seeking a vibrant, energetic nanny who can seamlessly keep pace with their bustling household and active little ones. They’re looking for someone whose heart is set on nurturing and caring for their children, engaging them through a blend of creativity, warmth, and educational, age-appropriate activities. This role calls for a nanny who can bring joy and structure to each day, fostering an environment where the children feel supported, inspired, and excited to learn and explore.

As a nanny, your role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining a well-organized and nurturing environment for the children. This includes cooking for the children, restocking diapers, emptying diaper pails, tidying up kids' toys/play areas, children's laundry, cleaning up dishes that the children and nanny used that day, meal prepping, planning activities, preparing and sterilizing bottles, and keeping a detailed journal of the baby's eating, sleeping, and diapering habits, and establishing healthy routines for sleep and feeding. 

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • High school diploma
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pet Friendly



Schedule

The schedule is part-time, guaranteeing 28 hours per week. The general schedule will fall on 2 days per week from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. These days will alter and candidates must be flexible.

 

Compensation

The family is offering $30-$35/hr based on 28 hours per week which equates to up to $840-$980/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $43k-$50k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. 

 

Benefits

The family is providing 5 days of paid vacation, 3  paid sick days, paid major holidays, and if available, use of the family vehicle for on-the-job travel; if not, the family will provide mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for on-the-job travel.
