Educationally-Minded ROTA Nanny Needed For Napa-Based Family

This dynamic, close-knit family is seeking a collaborative and attuned nanny to join their rotational team in creating an educationally focused environment for their two young children!

• Location: Napa, CA and Sacramento, CA
• Ages of children: 3 years old and 1.5 years old. The family is excited to welcome a third child in May!
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. The typical working hours will fall between 7am and 9pm. Candidate will be responsible for baby monitors overnight while on rotation, and 24/7 on-call availability is required. The candidate will collaborate with a co-nanny to plan for smooth rotation handoffs and continuation of care.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $140-150k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family will provide benefits including paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on rotation. A private bedroom within the family’s home and a shared bathroom with the craft room will be provided.
• Other Notes: The family is open to meeting candidates who would commute, fly in and out for their rotations, or relocate to the area.

• This creative, family-oriented crew is seeking a nanny to become an integral part of their children’s lives. They value education, honesty, adaptability, professionalism, and family time and speak several languages in their home. Someone who aligns with their values and can help them to raise their children will be a wonderful fit. Their three-year-old loves to play and explore outside, no matter the weather. They enjoy swimming, riding bikes, painting, crafts, playing catch and shooting hoops, tumbling class, music class, helping the chef cook, and learning to swim. Their 1.5-year-old is sweet as can be!
• The family looks forward to finding someone who can join their professional yet warm team dynamic. Other staff members in the household include a family assistant, a chef, a weekday nanny, and a rotational co-nanny. A Newborn Care Specialist will also support the family when the third baby arrives. Typically, travel happens for 8-12 weeks each year, and they split time between Napa and Sacramento. Both parents are very hands-on and are in and out of the home with some regularity, so a candidate who can confidently work alongside others and regularly collaborate with a stay-at-home parent will be key. The parents take a positive approach to discipline, lean towards the Montessori philosophy, and align with Dr. Becky’s Good Inside approach to raising children.

No previous experience working in a staffed home is necessary, but a willingness to learn and collaborate with a team is essential!
• This is a child-focused role. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to light snack/ meal prep on occasion, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, coordinating activities, traveling with the family throughout the year, and helping the family assistant on occasion. They travel frequently and have other residences in the Western US, and look forward to having their nannies join them. Flexibility to support travel will be essential in this role.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language or has a background in art.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for the toddler through preschool stages
• Pet friendly! The family plans to have animals in the future.
• Travel experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a child or education-related field
