Engaged, Child-Focused FT Nanny Needed for Infant in Portola Valley

Start date: mid-February/early March (mom goes back to work the first week of April so some overlap to help with the transition is preferred)

A family in Portola Valley is seeking a positive, loving and engaged Nany to care for their 3-month-old baby girl (born October 2024) for 40-45 hours per week. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities geared towards baby’s development, bottle prep, assisting with developmental transitions (solids, nap schedule, etc.), baby laundry and light housekeeping duties (tidying the nursery and common/play areas, organize food for baby, etc.). Their ideal candidate encourages and models good behavior, is upbeat, and proactively finds ways to enrich baby’s life.

SCHEDULE:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (40 hours)
Optional: Wednesdays 8/9 a.m. to 1/2 p.m.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in French or Spanish (nice to have but not required)

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated + boosted
  • TB and Tdap vaccine
  • First Aid + CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record (family can provide a vehicle for work-related driving)

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate and seek out ways to nurture and promote baby’s development
  • Plan age-appropriate activities and outings
  • Baby laundry
  • Preparing, washing and sanitizing bottles
  • Assist with developmental transitions (solids, nap schedule, etc.)
  • Light housekeeping duties (tidying the nursery as well as common/play areas, load/unload the dishwasher, organize food for baby, etc.)
  • Open to discussing additional household tasks if interested and should time allow (family is flexible; not a requirement)
