Energetic and Flexible Nanny

Start: Early March

Children: 3 month old and 2 year old (and part-time care of cousins 4, 3, and 1 alongside grandma)

Pet(s): 1 dog (at grandma's house)

Compensation: $20-$28 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 AM-5 PM

Are you a seasoned caregiver who is looking for a new role where you can utilize a variety of skillsets and spend time with a range of ages? If you enjoy staying active, and being engaging and also would love a little time to tag team with another adult, look no further! This busy Raleigh family is seeking a mature, experienced, and structured nanny to join them in early March. Both parents have demanding jobs, with dad working from home at times and other times traveling and mom working outside of the home. They have two girls who are 2 years old and 2 months old (will be 3 months at the start). Their oldest attends a half-day morning preschool and is curious and goofy. The youngest is following a good schedule and is very smiley and alert. They are a close-knit family and incredibly lucky to have grandparents nearby who want to be actively involved in the children’s lives. Grandma (affectionately called Mimi) will take an active role by spending time with the children a few days a week and would love the nanny’s support to also spend time with the cousins (ages 4, 3, and 1 year old) who she cares for 3 afternoons each week. This role is unique in that some days you will care only for the family’s children, while others you will spend time tag-teaming with Mimi to provide a fun, active, and educational environment for the children. This could include caring for the two youngest cousins while Mimi takes the older children on an adventure, or helping implement a craft or activity alongside her with all of the children. A flexible, fun-loving, and energetic nanny would be best for this role. The children all love to spend lots of time outdoors and reading books. An excellent communicator who enjoys keeping Mom updated throughout the day and can follow Mimi’s lead would be ideal. Consistency is key and they hope for a nanny who will keep things consistent for the children no matter if they are at home or with their cousins. 

While this role is unique it offers lots of quality time with children of varying ages, a job where you truly will never be bored, and a loving family who is looking for someone who can truly be a part of the family. They will respect and value your expertise. At times, if no childcare is needed (if Mimi has the baby and others are at school or during naptimes) they would greatly appreciate someone who is willing to help with laundry for their children only, tidying up the toys and kitchen, cleaning bottles, and prepare meals for their children. The typical work hours will include generally 40 hours 8 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday with the schedule provided in advance.
