Family Syllabus: This sweet family of five in Pasadena, CA is looking for a Nanny/ Family Assistant to join the team! They have a 15-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and a sweet 6-month-old baby. The parents occasionally work from inside the home and they have a housekeeper who comes during the week. The children attend a school nearby from 8 am-3 pm. They have 2 adorable pugs, a Chihuahua terrier mix, and a cute guinea pig.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position is super flexible, proactive, caring, and excellent at organization. Be ready to spend your days assisting the family and caring for their infant. Your afternoons will consist of picking the children up from school, taking their daughter to ballet, helping with dogs, taking the older two children to other extracurricular activities, or staying home with the infant so mom and dad can take the big kids to their activities. A nanny who is comfortable with infants, well-versed in the developmental stages of childhood, gets down on the ground to play, uses gentle parenting, and truly has a passion for children is the ideal match. This perfect nanny will be a great communicator and work with the parents as a team. A nanny who is comfortable helping the two older children with homework and other related school projects would be the perfect candidate. Please be a confident swimmer, as this family has a pool.
Job Synopsis: Duties related to this position will include stocking the pantry, food prep, cleaning the children’s play areas, taking care of the children’s laundry, picking up the dry cleaning and other household errands, working on household projects, and taking the children to their after school activities. This will also include cleaning and sanitizing bottles, pumps, and the baby’s area. Bonus if you love to cook! The schedule for this position will guarantee 40 hours working Monday through Friday, 11 pm-7 pm, and flexibility to work some Saturdays and stay late some evenings. The rate for this role is $40-45/hour gross with benefits such as paid health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and sick days.
