Full-Time Educated Nanny in Brentwood/Santa Monica, CA

Family Syllabus: This wonderful family in the Brentwood/Santa Monica area is looking for a full-time nanny for their three children! They have an empathetic almost 12-year-old boy who loves baseball, ping-pong, and club soccer, a 9-year-old boy who loves baseball and tennis, as well as engaging outdoor activities, and a 7-year-old girl who enjoys gymnastics, ballet, swimming, singing, and soccer! The boys love to wrestle together and they all enjoy quiet time to themselves. There’s lots of outdoor play in the backyard. The family also has two sweet dogs and a lizard! The dogs will require a daily walk from the nanny and the children will be feeding and walking the dogs with the nanny as well. The children all attend school during the weekdays and both parents work from inside the home and at an office nearby. They also have a housekeeper and part-time assistant who is remote.

Ideal Candidate: This family’s ideal nanny is patient and a great problem solver! Someone calm and steady, fun-loving, and always ready to jump on the trampoline with the kids would be a perfect match! Someone who has strong but empathetic boundaries and structure, knows how to read the room, and can step in and out when needed is most important to this family. Someone warm, easy-going, and a self-starter would fit right in. This family is looking for a long-term fit and someone who can commit to at least 3 years with the family. The family travels to Tahoe and the East Coast for the summer and the nanny will be expected to travel with them! Please be open to other vacations as well with this adventurous family! Please have a perfect driving record and experience driving in LA! Please be comfortable with animals!

Job Synopsis: A typical day with this family will include snack prep, walking the dogs, picking the kids home from school, helping with homework, dinner prep for the kids, and cleaning up afterward.  Other duties will include calendar coordination for children’s extracurricular and school activities, lunch ordering via the online school systems, family errands, personal assistant duties, and taking the children to after-school activities or appointments. Please be active and engaging and able to check homework and prepare healthy snacks! The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 12 pm-9 pm with flexibility for occasional weekday meetings. This role is paying $40- $45/hour gross depending on experience, with two weeks of paid vacation and 6 paid sick days. Overnights may occasionally be required, as will traveling for up to 2 weeks at a time. A bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Vaccines should be up to date. A vehicle will be provided for the nanny to use during working hours.
