Bilingual Nanny (Spanish/English) Needed for Baby in San Mateo (FT or PT)

Aunt Ann's In-House Staffing - Burlingame, California
Full-time
Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 Hourly
Application Deadline: Apr 30, 2025
Live-out Nanny

Start: by mid-April

A family in San Mateo is seeking an energetic and experienced nanny to care for their two children. They have a 2.5-month-old baby girl and a 2-year-old boy who will be starting preschool full-time in July. At that point care will be primarily for their baby, but their son will also need care when he is home from school due to school holidays, breaks, etc.

Responsibilities include planning enriching and outdoorsy activities, working towards developmental milestones, children’s laundry, preparing bottles and simple healthy meals for the children, as well as light tidying. They also need someone flexible to occasionally help with school pick-up and drop-off when parents are unable to do so. A reliable vehicle is needed for occasional work-related driving and the family will reimburse for mileage.

Their ideal candidate is high energy, engaging, and loves taking children on outdoor adventures. The family speaks English and Spanish at home, so they’d love to find someone bilingual who can continue both languages with the children.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS
• Full-time option: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (50 hours per week)
• Part-time option: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 12:30/1 p.m. (22.5-25 hours per week)

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Qualifications

  • TB and Tdap vaccine
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for occasional school drop-offs/pick-ups (family will reimburse for mileage)
    • Note: street parking is limited in the neighborhood; the family has a garage available which is tight, but nanny is welcome to use it if they’re comfortable getting in and out. They are also fine with someone taking public transportation as they are close to the Cal train, but still prefer someone with a vehicle for occasional work-related driving when necessary. The family is in walking distance to parks, playgrounds, and other kid-friendly activities.
  • Must be physically able to walk up/down multiple flights of stairs
  • Experienced with both newborns and toddlers
  • High energy
