Family looking for bilingual hindi and english speaking nanny for their infant!
Location: Hoboken, NJ to start, BUT FAMILY WILL BE MOVING TO THE UPPER EAST SIDE IN nEW YORK, NEW YORK!
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Occasional late nights or weekends are a plus but not required)
Start Date: 4/1 but flexible for the right fit.
Commitment: Long-term
About the Family:
A warm and welcoming family looking for a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for our happy and advanced 6-month-old baby boy. He is a social, smiley, and curious little one who loves to engage with people, explore his surroundings, and enjoys a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. He is already rolling, eating well, and enjoys stimulation through books, music, and play.
They are hands-on parents and are looking for a nanny who can seamlessly become part of our family while maintaining a live-out arrangement.
What We’re Looking For in a Nanny:
- Experienced & Professional: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a private household setting caring for infants.
- Bilingual: REQUIRED to be fluent in English & Hindu
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Ability to legally work in the USA
- Engaging & Nurturing: Someone who is proactive, hands-on, and enjoys reading, play-based learning, music classes, and museum outings.
- Cultural Understanding: Since both parents are of Indian heritage, they would love a nanny who speaks English and Hindi and is familiar with Indian cultural traditions.
- Household Support: While baby care is the priority, light housekeeping, baby laundry, and meal prep (especially Indian/South Asian cuisine) would be ideal.
- Flexibility & Commitment: This is a long-term role, and we appreciate a nanny who can be adaptable to occasional late nights or weekend support.
Ideal Candidate:
✔️ CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
✔️ Up-to-date on general vaccinations, including COVID and flu. (Proof required!)
✔️ Comfortable with small dogs
✔️ Infant experience
Daily Responsibilities:
- Full childcare responsibilities, including feeding, diapering, naps, and engaging play
- Taking baby to classes, parks, and local outings
- Supporting baby’s development with books, music, and interactive play
- Light housekeeping (baby laundry, tidying up after meals, keeping play areas clean)
- Meal prep for baby and, ideally, light cooking for the family (especially Indian cuisine)
