Are you looking for a family where you can foster creativity, exploration, and learning? Do you thrive in a home full of joy and laughter? If so, this Wake Forest family is looking for you! As a family, they value honesty and collaboration and are looking for a professional who can make a meaningful impact by contributing to their busy household. They have two children who are 4 years old and 1 year old. The oldest is full of energy and is super athletic. He loves to use his imagination, climb obstacles, and play outside for hours. He loves learning new things! The youngest is 1. She loves music, cooking in her play kitchen, and is bursting with personality. As the little sister, she is very go-with-the-flow, is on a predictable schedule for naps, and is a great eater. The ideal nanny would embody safety, proactivity, and a sense of fun while maintaining some loose structure and flexibility in the day-to-day rhythm. The best fit would enjoy planning educational activities and including the children in everyday activities. They love to spend time outdoors and have a wonderful neighborhood with walking trails and a creek, a nanny who will allow them to explore their world safely, while still being fully present is the best fit. Eventually, they envision the nanny helping with school pickup and potentially drop off, so they would love someone with a reliable vehicle who is comfortable transporting children. They are also willing to discuss outings in the future.
Both parents work unique schedules, which are a mix of night shifts and work-from-home arrangements. Given that, they hope for a nanny who is comfortable with parents being in and out throughout the day. They are committed to staying out of the way, and the kids are very accustomed to this dynamic. The family also has a sweet 30lb Labradoodle who is non-shedding and hypoallergenic. She loves playing outside with the kids, but doesn’t require much attention other than a pet now and then, and occasionally letting her outside.
Aside from caring for the children, the family would greatly appreciate help with light household duties relating to the children, such as their laundry, tidying up the playroom, and after lunchtime, preparing the children’s lunches, and occasional errands.
The typical work hours will be weekdays with a varying start time between 5 AM -8 AM (depending on the parents' overlapping schedules) and an end time of 4 PM. Depending on your availability, they would appreciate assistance 2-3 weekend days per month with a similar timeframe as the weekday schedule, however, this is not a requirement or dealbreaker. They can provide the schedule at least 3 months in advance and will always strive to work with their nanny to accommodate schedule changes. They are open to discussions about guaranteed hours and tailoring the responsibilities to fit the strengths of the nanny, and most importantly, want to find a great fit to support them and make a difference in their lives for the next several years. They are hoping for a new nanny to join them soon and are flexible with a start date until early May.
