Description:
A nurturing mom is actively seeking a nanny/ family assistant to care for her 2-year-old son and her 3-month-old daughter, her senior dog and cat, and her home.
The oldest child is a sweet 2-year-old boy. He’s a kind and gentle little one with a spirited, adventurous side! Currently in a lively, exploratory phase, he’s full of energy and curiosity as he dives into daily adventures! After a few hours of well-deserved rest, he keeps himself busy doing Little Gym once a week, digging the dirt, playing outside, and climbing on anything he can! He is also very sweet and enjoys quieter activities, like art, puzzles, drawing with crayons, markers, and painting.
The youngest in the family is a loving 3-month-old girl. She’s a happy and easygoing baby, especially when she’s full! She sleeps and eats on demand, and is both bottle and breastfed. Her personality is still blossoming, and she already shows a love for playful interaction, like singing and silly faces. While she’s not a big fan of tummy time, she is working on it, growing stronger every day.
Mom adores her children, and while she does not adhere to any strict parenting style, her philosophy is based on gentleness and independence. She strives to build confidence and autonomy in her children, stepping in to help only when they ask. Structure is important to Mom, and she’s intentional about maintaining a consistent routine, especially when it comes to nap and bedtimes. While she values a well-organized schedule, she also embraces the importance of letting her children explore freely and follow their curiosity at their own pace. During their family time, they are always up for new adventures and activities, like playing outside and going to parks and the zoo. They enjoy spending time in their greenhouse in the backyard, as well as going to the barn to care for their horses. They love doing art together and reading books. The ideal candidate will be creative and bubbly, able to come up with fun, age-appropriate games and activities. Patient and gentle by nature, the perfect candidate will nurture the children with compassion, supporting their developmental milestones while fostering confidence along the way. The ideal match will also embody qualities of respect, honesty, and dependability. With a canine companion and feline friend in the mix, being pet-friendly is essential.
In this role, responsibilities will include all aspects of childcare, like planning fun, educational, age-appropriate activities, safely driving the kids to and from activities, shopping for the kids, tidying up children’s common areas, preparing meals, snacks, and bottles, and cleaning up afterward. Additional tasks may include loading and emptying the dishwasher, washing/sterilizing bottles and/or breast pump parts, and handling and storing breastmilk. Additionally, the nanny will assist with laundry, grocery shopping, running errands, and general tidying and organizing.
