Household Dynamic:

  • This warm, playful family of four is seeking a resourceful and thoughtful nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their twin boys. At 5 months old, their twins are healthy, growing like beanstalks, and focused on hand-munching and cooing at their parents, their baby nurses, and their 2 cats. Their boys are their biggest treasures, and the family is looking forward to welcoming a nurturing candidate who can create a loving environment for the children while supporting the family in raising considerate, confident, and globally-minded citizens. Someone comfortable working in a pet-friendly home with two cats is important.
  • This is a dual-career household where both parents are often at home, moving in and out throughout the day. The family values serenity and organization, but also enjoys socializing and turning up the music. Traveling is a huge part of their life and they love getting to know other cultures. They spend several weeks visiting family in New Mexico, New York, Massachusetts, and Maine, and taking international trips each year. An on-the-go, travel-ready nanny who is excited to join in their family adventures while providing attentive and expert childcare while traveling will be a perfect fit. Someone collaborative who is ready to support the family and works well with other household staff, including a weekly house cleaner and a part-time executive assistant, will thrive in this supportive household!

Ideal Candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a compassionate, upbeat, collaborative, and engaging nanny/family assistant who finds joy in fostering the development of two growing infants. Someone who brings a joyful and thoughtful energy into the home will be a wonderful addition. The family will value a candidate who possesses open and respectful communication, has cultural awareness, and is confident in partnering with involved first-time parents. A calm and capable presence with strong intuition will excel in this role. A nanny/family assistant who is proactive in supporting the family holistically and maintaining an organized and tidy space will be highly appreciated.
  • Responsibilities include childcare tasks and family assisting duties. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and coordinating vendors.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish, French, or Hindi and has experience caring for twins.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants
  • Ability to swim and comfort with caring for children in and near water
  • Travel experience (professional or personal)
  • Cat friendly
