Compensation: $35-$40/hr

Schedule: 40 guaranteed hrs/week. Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Description:

A fun-loving, blended family in Lakewood is looking for a dependable and high-energy nanny/household manager to care for their six amazing kids (ages 7 to 14) and help keep their home running smoothly. The children are with the family 50% of the time, so the role offers a balance of hands-on childcare and household management when the home is quieter. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy, engaging environment but also enjoys maintaining structure and routine.

The children range in age from 7 to 14, and each brings a unique personality to the family. Their oldest daughter is heading into high school and loves sports, Starbucks runs, and hanging out with her friends. Their 13-year-old son is friendly and active, especially into lacrosse, football, and basketball. The 12-year-old daughter is bold, funny, and keeps everyone laughing with her one-liners. Their 9-year-old son is thoughtful and sweet, with a big love for baseball and a dry sense of humor. Their 8-year-old son is incredibly smart and does well in school, he’s had some challenges in the past, so patience and understanding go a long way. And the youngest, a 7-year-old girl, is a confident little gymnast who’s bursting with personality and sass (in the best way).

Mom and Dad are thoughtful, driven, and fully involved in their kids' lives. They value structure, mutual respect, and clear communication, and they’re looking for someone who will be a steady, upbeat presence in their home. While they’re busy professionals, they make time for fun too during family cookouts, Cavs/Browns/Guardian games(yes, they are sports lovers!), and time at their home in Naples, Florida.

During weeks when the children are home, your focus will be on caring for the three youngest, helping with after-school routines, school pick-ups, driving to appointments or practices, preparing snacks, and keeping them engaged and cared for. On days when the kids are with their other parent, household management will take priority. This includes tasks like light cleaning and tidying, laundry for the children, grocery shopping, running errands, restocking household items, and making sure the home stays organized and ready for the busy weeks ahead.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and genuinely enjoys working with school-aged children. While you won’t be caring for all six children at once, you’ll play an active role in helping with the three youngest during their time at home. This is a family that stays on the go with sports practices, playtime outside, and driveway basketball are part of the rhythm, so someone who can keep up with an active lifestyle is a great match. You don’t have to be an athlete, just someone who’s comfortable around movement, chaos, and fun. A strong communicator who takes initiative and works well alongside involved parents will be a wonderful fit here.

Qualifications 

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• A least 21 years of age
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a background check

Schedule

Guaranteeing 40 hours per week. The general schedule will run from Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility is appreciated, especially when Mom or Dad are traveling.

Compensation

The family is offering $35-$40/hour based upon 40 guaranteed hours per week which equates to up to $1,400-$1,600/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $72k+-83k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. 

Benefits

The family is offering 5 days of paid sick time, 10 days of paid time off, paid major holidays, a monthly healthcare stipend, and a family vehicle for on-the-job travel.
