Summary:
We're seeking a seasoned household manager to support a busy family who already employs a full-time nanny but requires supplementary care and comprehensive household management. This is a dynamic role combining estate management with active child care, including overnights when parents travel. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in similar households, a positive, can-do attitude, and understand that children are central to this position. While handling the main home and guest house, this "Jill of all trades" will be responsible for implementing a new technology system ( such as Trello, Asana, or Monday.com), managing vendors, house sitting, overnight childcare, and ensuring every household detail functions optimally.
Required Skills:
The House Manager will manage comprehensive calendar coordination, including children's schedules and family organization, along with payroll administration and appointment scheduling. Regular responsibilities include maintaining inventory lists, running errands, conducting Costco runs, organizing closets, and overseeing meal planning and preparation. The role requires managing all property systems - from surveillance cameras to vehicle maintenance to ensuring remote batteries and light bulbs are functional. Additional duties include handling mailing/shipping, managing vendors, grocery shopping, and house sitting as needed. Upon hiring, you will be responsible for selecting and managing a housekeeper for the properties. You must have a valid driver's license and be prepared to provide overnight care when parents are traveling.
