Full Time Nanny in Charleston SC

Position Overview:

This family is looking for a professional nanny to assist with the care of their infant daughter (2.5 months) and occasionally help with their 7-year-old daughter, who attends school at Ashley Hall. Both parents work from home and are hands-on when it comes to the routine and transport.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with infants/ toddlers. The role requires excellent communication skills and a warm and engaging attitude.

The Candidate will need to provide child transportation, when necessary, prepare baby food (purees and finger food), and provide other options for the older child. The parents are looking for a caregiver who understands the importance of socialization and engages in/organizes playdates and other forms of stimulation for their infant daughter.

Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, age-appropriate play and activities, nap and sleep schedule, Laundry, washing and folding/hanging clothes, keeping closets organized, sanitation of bottles, and other items. Keeping an inventory of diapers, wipes, formula, and other needs.

The nanny will assist in maintaining the baby’s sleep schedule and routine, growing and adapting as the child does, and offering excellent communication with the parents.

Additionally, the caregiver will be providing a nurturing and loving environment to foster well-being and developmental guidance, and supporting cognitive, physical, and social development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience working with infants and toddlers.
• Excellent references from previous families or employers.
• Strong organizational skills, high level of discretion, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• This family does have 2 small dogs, applicants will need to be comfortable around pets. No pet care is required.
• Candidates should be able to swim and be comfortable bringing the baby to swim classes if needed.
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid US Work Authorization
