A family in the Richmond District of SF is seeking an engaging, genuine person to care for their two boys. Care is primarily for their 1-year-old who is home full-time and as-needed for their toddler who is in school full-time (9:30-4p). The nanny will be responsible for planning fun, educational activities geared towards development, children’s laundry, preparing bottles and kid-friendly meals, light tidying, and occasional pick-ups from preschool.

Their ideal person has a friendly and bubbly disposition, is engaging and playful, and an excellent communicator. Candidates should be comfortable with parents working from home and being present, as well as physically able to carry 30 lbs up/down multiple fights of stairs. The family would love someone willing to travel with them from time to time, but this is a nice-to-have and not required.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years minimum experience working as a private nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Must be fully fluent in English

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated + at least one booster
  • TB and Tdap
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record (family provides a household vehicle for work-related driving)
  • Comfortable with parents working from home and being present
  • Comfortable around dogs
  • Willingness to travel is a nice-to-have
  • Bubbly, friendly
  • Great with kids and genuinely enjoys playing
  • Engaging (not distracted by phone)
  • Excellent communicator and happy to follow parent preferences or offer suggestions
  • Must be physically able to carry 30 lbs. up/down the stairs (home has 3 flights)
  • Can make at least a year commitment

Responsibilities

  • Childcare: primarily for their 1-year-old and care as needed for their 3-year-old
  • Children’s laundry
  • Washing bottles
  • Making meals for the children
  • Light tidying (children’s rooms, common areas, play areas, kitchen after kids’ meals, loading/unloading dishwasher, cleaning high chair)
  • Restocking children’s supplies – diapers, sorting through clothing, etc.
  • Occasional pickups from preschool (5 min drive from home)
  • Occasional house/pet sitting when family is traveling
