• Location: Brentwood Park, Los Angeles, CA
• Ages of children: kindergarten, middle school, and high school
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 6:30 pm. Some flexibility for minor schedule fluctuations and travel throughout the year will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $45-50/hour based on the 40-45 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation in the $94-125k/year range.
  
  • The family is open to meeting candidates with extensive experience in house management and family assistance who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with their experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance for the right candidate. They are open to a vehicle stipend.

Household dynamic:

• This warm, vibrant family of five is seeking an adaptable, self-motivated nanny/family assistant to help keep their lives and household running smoothly while caring for their three growing children. Their teenage children are mostly independent but need help with transportation, meals, and life management, and, of course, they still benefit from‌ gentle reminders and a steady presence. Their youngest is in kindergarten and is described as "fun, curious, and engaging”. She’s a typical five-year-old who loves pretend play, arts and crafts, tennis, golf, and t-ball. All children attend school until around 4 pm, so during school hours, their ideal candidate will be excited to dive into scheduling, home management, and special projects. A love of healthy cooking and nutrition is a huge plus. The family hopes to work with a candidate who naturally tunes into and anticipates the children’s needs and can respond to them proactively.
• Both parents are hands-on and highly involved in their children’s lives, but they also have busy lives of their own and will work best with a candidate who enjoys independence in their role. With many moving parts in the household, they are seeking someone who can keep everyone organized and help each day at home run smoothly. The family loves taking trips and traveling both domestically and internationally. They will often spend time at their other homes as well. They would love someone open to supporting occasional family trips or caring for their home while they are away. The family is supported by a full-time housekeeper and two part-time nannies, so someone who works well with the family and other household members will fit in perfectly!

• This position is ideal for an experienced, professional nanny/family assistant who thrives on nurturing the needs of children while maintaining a well-coordinated and orderly home. The family will value someone who can meet each child where they are and create a loving and caring environment where all children feel supported and seen. Someone who can engage with their youngest and offer gentle reminders and structure for the older siblings will be a good fit! The ideal candidate will have a see-a-need, fill-the-need approach to their care and be detail-oriented and naturally organized. Someone who enjoys cooking will be highly appreciated! They will value simple, wholesome meals and an organized, stocked kitchen. They maintain a gluten-free house, so comfort with basic dietary restrictions is helpful.
• Responsibilities include childcare tasks and family assisting duties. Childcare responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include managing children’s appointments, scheduling and kid-related admin, running errands, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and coordinating vendors.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has extensive house management or family assisting experience.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• 2 years of family assisting experience (can be stand-alone or as hybrid nanny/FA roles)
• Knowledge and experience with pre-school through high school-age children
• Comfortable with full family cooking
• Comfortable maintaining a gluten-free household
• Valid driver’s license
• Dog-friendly
