FLEXIBLE + WARM-HEARTED NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT NEEDED FOR FAMILY IN SOLON, OHIO

Description:

A kind and welcoming returning Pink Nannies family is seeking an adaptable and nurturing nanny/family assistant to help care for their adorable 5-year-old son & 3-year-old daughter and manage the home.

Their 5-year-old son is full of energy and curiosity. He loves soccer, puzzles, reading and writing, and enjoys lending a hand around the house. He adores spending time with his younger sister and is an exceptional big brother. He’s incredibly bright and is reading at a second-grade level as he heads into kindergarten. He thrives on structure and routine. He’s naturally disciplined, and while his parents value that, they also are currently focused on encouraging him to embrace flexibility. 

Their 3-year-old daughter is their little firecracker! She’s vibrant, confident, and incredibly sweet and affectionate. Her parents are currently particularly intentional about helping her build empathy and emotional intelligence. She’s active, imaginative, and absolutely loves stuffed animals. She is similarly adoring of her big brother and also loves to help out with daily routines. She loves water play, soccer, and relaxing snuggle time. Like her big brother, she does well with routines and boundaries. Both children will be in school at different times during the day.

Mom is warm, collaborative, and naturally gravitates toward individuals who are genuine, self-assured, creative, and communicative in their approach. Dad is hardworking, has a big heart, and highly values honesty and consistency in the people around him. They have established routines and systems in place and are seeking a candidate who can seamlessly step in, align with their flow, and follow them with ease. Both parents have home offices and one or both may be working from home regularly. As a family, they love spending time outdoors at local parks, live music, trying new foods, and exploring new places together. They typically take one to two weeklong trips each year and are looking for a nanny who would be ready and willing to join, if requested. 

After having a wonderful experience with their previous Pink Nanny, this lovely family is ready to welcome a nanny who matches their former nanny’s level of warmth, creativity, independence, and organization. This family is looking for a nanny who is genuine, intentional, and truly invested in the role. They value someone who communicates openly and honestly, and who brings a warm, positive energy into the home. Creativity is a big plus and they’re seeking someone who plans crafts, enjoys getting on the kids’ level, and structures educational time through fun, engaging activities regularly. Flexibility and an adaptable attitude are important, along with a natural sense of organization and a willingness to help keep things tidy and running smoothly around the house. They do have a young canine companion, so being pet-friendly is essential.

This individual’s responsibilities will include childcare, such as transporting the children and planning fun, educational, age-appropriate activities. They will also tidy the children’s common areas, prepare meals and snacks, organize playdates, handle the children’s laundry, and perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and tidy home. This is a hybrid role, and candidates should also be comfortable assisting with grocery ordering, shopping, running errands, household organization, meal preparation, and other tasks to keep the household running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• High school diploma
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable and insured vehicle, large enough to accommodate 2 car seats
• Clean driving record
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid passport & availability to travel domestically and internationally if needed
• Pet friendly

Schedule

Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. The general schedule will fall between Monday to Friday and include 4 days per week from approximately 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Flexibility will be appreciated to accommodate changes in the schedule, if needed and communicated in advance.

Compensation

The family is offering $28-$30/hour based upon 40 guaranteed hours per week, which equates to up to $1,120-$1,200/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $58k+-$62k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. 

Benefits

The family is offering a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, 5 days of paid sick time, 10 days of paid time off (5 determined by the family and 5 by the candidate), paid major holidays if falling during the working week, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate for on-the-job travel.
