 No childcare duties. 10-year-old son is very independent, though the assistant should be able to give clear direction when needed (e.g., mealtime, basic responsibilities)

 $70,000-$75,000 — guaranteed year-round pay, even when hours fluctuate

 When family is in town: ~40 hours/week, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, occasionally later if dinner is hosted. When family is out of town: Reduced hours (~2–3 days/week for 2–3 hours/day). Duties may include overseeing vendors, light home maintenance, errands, and general upkeep. Flexibility is key—exact hours will vary depending on the time of year and number of guests staying at the home.

Summit Nannies and Sitters is partnering with a lovely, low-key family in Park City, Utah seeking a long-term, dependable, and self-sufficient Family Assistant / House Manager to care for their home and offer occasional support with their independent 10-year-old son. Join a kind, respectful family and enjoy a flexible schedule, light duties, and steady pay—even when they’re out of town.

 

 

This is a permanent position with alternating full- and part-time weeks based on the family’s presence—but your pay remains steady year-round.

 


 

About the Family & Household

 

  • Parents split their time between Park City and California

  • 10-year-old son is very independent, though the assistant should be able to give clear direction when needed (e.g., mealtime, basic responsibilities)

  • One small dog, Sadie, who will be present on longer stays—she will need to be fed and walked

  • The family hosts guests 4–5 times/year; additional help will be hired for deep cleaning during these times

  • The family values a calm, autonomous working relationship: clear direction with independence and trust to execute tasks

 

 


 

Responsibilities

 

Daily (when family is in town):

 

  • Light household upkeep: dishes, floors, trash, laundry, beds, kitchen

  • Meal prep (especially breakfast), possible cooking depending on ability

  • Dog care (feeding/walking)

  • Errands: grocery runs, dry cleaning, Target/Walmart, car washes, etc.

  • Occasional airport pickups/drop-offs

  • Flex support for casual family dinners

 

 

Weekly & As-Needed:

 

  • Change and launder bed sheets

  • Liaise with property managers or vendors when family is away

  • Light cleaning (dusting, flushing toilets, home checks)

  • Use of family car available at all times—whether the family is in town or not

Qualifications:

 

  • Extensive experience with household management and/or family assistance
  • Candidates must have 3+ years of verifiable experience working as a housekeeper.

 

  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional and legal pay

Notes:

 

  • The family will be in Park City most of the summer, as well as during school vacations: 2 weeks in December, 1 week in February, 1 week in April, plus long weekends throughout the year.

  • While exact duties and hours shift, compensation will remain consistent year-round.
