Description:

An organized and close-knit family is on the lookout for a highly experienced nanny to care for their sweet 2-year-old son.

Their beloved 2-year-old son is a sweet and active toddler who loves playing with his toys, especially with his trucks, planes, and cars. Always burning energy, he can often be spotted running around in the backyard or playing with his dogs. He has a great memory and does best when given gentle reminders about how much time is left to play and what’s coming next in the routine. He’ll be starting preschool next year.

Mom and Dad are very loving parents who follow a family-centric, goal-oriented approach, valuing consistent routines and meaningful playtime. They aim to raise their little one with lots of patience and the right age-appropriate stimulation, often turning everyday chores into opportunities for fun and learning. Their son is encouraged to participate in family chores, like helping cook, walking the dog, or vacuuming. Love, structure, and clear open communication are key foundations to their parenting style. They also embrace a low-tech lifestyle and prefer their son to spend time engaged in active, hands-on play. The perfect nanny will share this philosophy and enjoy planning fun and educational games and activities for their son. 

The family has had very good experiences with past nannies, and they’re expecting to find another great caregiver. They are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable nanny who genuinely loves children and approaches the role professionally. They are a bilingual household and are seeking a nanny who is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. The family is looking for a fun, creative, and energetic nanny who will actively engage in play with their son, dream up exciting games and activities, and truly enjoy their time together. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and honest, communicate openly and clearly, and be flexible to accommodate occasional schedule changes, additional hours, or weekend care when needed, showing up every day with a positive attitude and ready to seize the day. A reliable candidate seeking a full-time, long-term position who is comfortable with changing schedules as well as with spending the day at home and creating engaging activities indoors or in the backyard would be a great fit.

The candidate’s responsibilities will encompass all childcare-related tasks, including planning fun, educational, age-appropriate activities, providing sick care if needed, tidying up children’s common areas, preparing simple meals/snacks, and cleaning up afterward. The nanny will also restock the diaper bag and empty the diaper pail, launder the child’s clothes & linens, load the dishwasher, and empty it when full, as well as text photos throughout the day.

Qualifications 

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• A higher education background is desirable
• High school diploma
• Bilingual & Fluent in Spanish 
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Pet friendly
• Ability to pass a background check

Schedule

Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. However, strong applicants seeking 34-39 hours per week may also be considered. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; however, flexibility is essential to accommodate the parents’ work commitments. Saturday hours will be scheduled occasionally, with at least three months’ advance notice.

Compensation

The family is offering $25-$29/hour based upon 40 guaranteed hours per week, which equates to up to $1,000-$1,160/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $52k-60k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law. 

Benefits

The family is offering a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, 10 days of paid time off (5 days at the family’s discretion and 5 days at the candidate's discretion), 5 days of paid sick time, and paid major holidays.
