Household dynamic:

  • This friendly return Adventure Nannies family is excited to welcome a rotational nanny who will work alongside their current beloved nanny to support their bright, active children. Their 5-year-old daughter is a happy and curious child who loves art and ballet. She will begin a part-time homeschool kindergarten program this fall, which offers flexibility for the family to travel. While on the road, she will be given materials to keep pace with her class, so the family is seeking someone with experience in an accredited elementary school program to help maintain her learning progress, especially in early literacy. Their 3-year-old son loves to ride his bike and explore the outdoors.
  • The family splits their time between Miami and other destinations, including Chicago, Big Sky, Las Vegas, and Malibu. They enjoy an active lifestyle filled with hiking, biking, great food, and time together. With many moving parts in the household, they value a nanny who can actively engage with their children, maintain routines, and bring educational structure wherever they are. The nanny will also collaborate closely with the family’s housekeeper to support daily living, ensuring the household runs smoothly and that the children’s environments are organized, safe, and prepared for both learning and play.

Ideal candidate:

  • This role is ideal for a high-energy, education-focused nanny who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about fostering a love of learning. The family seeks someone who can:
  • Confidently support early academic skills through structured activities and everyday experiences.
  • Adapt lesson materials for travel and create engaging, educational moments outside the classroom.
  • Track developmental and academic milestones, providing regular updates to parents.
  • Build a warm, trusting relationship with both children while balancing learning with play and outdoor exploration.
  • Work seamlessly as part of a team, especially in coordination with the housekeeper, to ensure daily routines, schedules, and household tasks are aligned.
  • Draw on accredited elementary teaching experience to help their daughter keep pace with her program while traveling.
  • Weekly hand-off meetings are an important part of the role, so clear communication and organizational skills are essential. Experience traveling with families, managing packing and logistics, and staying organized on the road is a must.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time childcare/teaching experience
  • Accredited elementary or Montessori school teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and early literacy instruction
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Comfortable preparing light family meals
  • Flexible and enthusiastic about frequent, extended travel
  • Confident swimmer and comfortable supervising children in and around water
  • Ability to live-in while on duty and live-out while off duty
  • Spanish or Polish language skills are a plus
