Children: 3-month-old
Compensation: $30-$32/hr
Schedule: 28 guaranteed hrs/week. Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Description:
A nurturing family in Westlake is seeking a reliable and well-rounded nanny to lovingly care for their 3-month-old son and provide occasional support with their well-trained dog.
Their soon-to-be 4-month-old is a sweet, easy-going baby with a calm, adaptable personality. He enjoys walks, music, floor play, and colorful balloons, and is practicing tummy time as he grows quickly. With a strong sleep routine already established, he is thriving, and his parents are eager to welcome an experienced caregiver who will actively engage him with age-appropriate, developmentally stimulating activities and nurture his milestones in a safe, joyful environment.
Mom and Dad, a warm and busy team of work-from-home parents, are eager to welcome a highly experienced caregiver into their household and partner with them in caring for their wonderful baby boy. They are hands-on, loving, and nurturing parents. They follow their little one’s cues and feed on demand, while also prioritizing structured feeding and nap schedules, and incorporating research-based practices to thoughtfully guide their parenting and support their son’s growth. This family is looking for a loving, attentive, and safety-conscious nanny who will actively engage with their little one throughout the day. They value someone who can follow the daily feeding routines they’ve thoughtfully put in place, providing their child with comfort and consistency. Mom will be breastfeeding him, and they would like a nanny who can support this routine. A key priority for them is finding someone who is fully present and hands-on with their child, with no phone use while present with their son, ensuring their little one receives focused care, attention, and meaningful interaction. In their free time, they enjoy taking their family dog for walks and unwinding with relatives and friends. On hot days, they love grabbing ice cream together and playing pickleball & board games.
These nurturing parents are excited to welcome a confident, proactive, and infant-savvy nanny into their home. The family is seeking a genuine and dependable nanny who values punctuality and makes it a priority to arrive a few minutes early, prepared to start the day with ease. Their ideal caregiver is flexible, able to accommodate the occasional early morning, and not confined to a 9–5 mindset. They are hoping to find someone who is both respectful and knowledgeable, capable of taking initiative when needed, yet also knowing when to step back. The right fit will bring intuition to anticipate needs, while also honoring and following Mom and Dad’s structures and routines. Experience with infants is essential, along with a solid understanding of age-appropriate activities and interactive play like reading, singing, and creating moments of curiosity that foster growth and milestones. A gentle, responsive approach to care, paired with clear and open communication with parents, will create the perfect partnership. Being pet-friendly and comfortable around pets is key!
The nanny’s primary responsibilities will center around thoughtful childcare and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. Daily duties include planning fun and educational age-appropriate activities, tending to the baby’s needs with care (including occasional sick care), preparing and sterilizing bottles, and safely handling and storing breast milk. Additional support will include light tasks related to the child, such as laundering clothes and linens, tidying the nursery and play areas, restocking the diaper bag, and keeping feeding supplies organized. The nanny will also enjoy outings to the park, provide photo updates throughout the day, and may occasionally walk the family’s well-trained dog while out with the baby. While this role is not focused on housekeeping, a natural sense of order and willingness to pitch in with light home organization will be appreciated.
