Description:

An active and affectionate family is seeking a creative nanny, experienced with Gentle Parenting, to care for their sweet 16-month-old daughter.

This joyful little girl is adventurous and imaginative. She loves playing outside, exploring the world around her, diving into stories, and coloring. Curious and affectionate, she delights in being close to Mom and Dad and is happiest when included in the rhythm of family life. The nanny will also be attentive to her dietary needs, carefully avoiding sesame in all meals and snacks.

While Mom and Dad are professionals with very demanding and sometimes unpredictable schedules, their top priority is their baby girl. They are very intentional about the way they’re raising her, practicing Gentle Parenting through Emotion Coaching. They value communicating calmly and clearly, tuning into her emotions, and coaching her on how to navigate them with confidence. This nurturing family values time together and loves being outdoors, making it a goal to get outside daily. Whether going for walks, visiting the park, cooking, or sharing meals, they cherish creating meaningful moments as a family. Two beloved small dogs are part of the household, so their perfect nanny will be comfortable around them!

In this exciting role, the candidate will plan fun, educational, age-appropriate activities, safely transporting the baby to and from outings, provide sick care when needed, tidy up the baby’s common areas, prepare simple meals/snacks for her, and clean up afterward. Additional responsibilities include general tidying/organizing (not housekeeping), restocking the diaper bag, emptying the diaper pail, loading the dishwasher, and emptying it when full, as well as texting photos throughout the day.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Early Childhood Educational Background preferred
• High school diploma
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable and insured vehicle
• Clean driving record
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid passport & availability to travel domestically and internationally if needed
• Pet friendly
• Current on standard vaccinations

Schedule

Part-time, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. The general schedule will be Mondays & Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Flexibility is key, as there will be some 55-hour weeks, with a possible schedule of 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. The candidate will be informed ahead of time.

Compensation

The family is offering $25-$30/hour based upon 36 guaranteed hours per week which equates to up to $900-$1,080/week, and an anticipated annual base income of $46k+-56k+/year. This position is paid legally, on a W-2, subject to regular deductions and withholdings as required by law.

Benefits

The family is offering a $200 monthly healthcare stipend, 3 days of paid sick time, 10 days of paid time off, paid major holidays, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate/family vehicle for on-the-job travel.
