  • This busy and curious Aspen family is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant to support this fun-loving household and care for their spirited and growing children, ages 6 to 11 years old. All three children attend regular school on weekdays. The family values keeping screen time with the kids at a minimum, reserving it mostly for weekends and offering a bit more flexibility during the summer months. Rounding out the household are their two beloved pets: a dog and a cat.
  • As an active family, they love to explore, play sports, and travel together. They typically spend four to eight weeks during school breaks visiting vibrant destinations such as Los Angeles, Mexico, the Bahamas, Europe, and Canada. Their favorite activities include family hikes, skiing, sledding, paddleboarding on the river, brunch outings, and attending family-friendly events like visits to farmers' markets and recreational centers. Above all, the family places great importance on fostering an emotionally healthy, loving home where all children can talk things out and express their feelings, and making sure that they understand each other. One parent works from home, and both parents are in and out throughout the day. The household is also supported by a housekeeper and an occasional chef.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is playful and engaging while also excellent at instilling good values and discipline with three active, school-aged children. They hope to work with a proactive nanny/family assistant who can anticipate the needs of the children and be an engaging and nurturing caregiver who can create and facilitate fun and enriching activities that will keep them engaged at home. Confidence in keeping strong boundaries is essential! A playful, warm, and supportive nanny/family assistant who can lovingly set boundaries and help keep the kids on track will thrive in this role. Someone who can connect with all three children and is naturally engaging and upbeat will be a good fit! The perfect candidate is someone who can nurture an emotionally supportive and loving home where children can thrive in an environment of open communication, empathy, and mutual respect and understanding.
  • With the children at school during the day, someone who is happy to jump into family assisting duties to keep the household running smoothly will be a wonderful addition. The family would appreciate someone present, engaged, and ready to jump into the day!
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, and coordinating activities. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a degree in childhood development, can travel with them, and who enjoys outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, and hiking.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Willing to pitch in with family-assisting duties
  • Comfortable preparing meals for the entire family
  • Able to swim and care for children in water
  • Driver's license
