World Travel | Compassionate, Adaptable Nanny Wanted For Holistic PNW Family

• Location: Hood River, OR. The family will also be traveling to Europe, Asia, Costa Rica, and domestically (e.g, New York) for 1 to 3 months each. 
• Ages of children: 2 years old and 8 months old
• Contract dates: 9-month contract with the possibility to extend.
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00pm or 8am to 5pm or similar. The schedule may change while traveling.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to a base contract compensation of $54,600-62,400k.The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A separate apartment or guesthouse will be provided. While traveling, private accommodations will be provided in all locations.

• This friendly and adventurous family of four is preparing for a six-month international travel in 2026, planning to spend one to three months each in Europe, Asia, Costa Rica, and other vibrant US cities, including New York. They are excited to welcome a short-term nanny to support them on this exciting adventure! The family has a 2-year-old toddler and ‌welcomed their newborn this year. The family values a mindful and holistic lifestyle and hopes to find someone who shares these values. They also share their home with a kind and low-maintenance cat. 
• One parent speaks Spanish and manages a regenerative permaculture farm in Costa Rica. The family is rooted in Catholic and Christian backgrounds and splits their time between nature adventures and cultural experiences. The family loves to travel domestically and internationally and is passionate about good food, healthy living, and joyful experiences. They enjoy meditation, yoga, hiking, skiing, fishing, and water sports.

Ideal candidate: 

• This position is ideal for a mature, confident, and self-motivated nanny who is travel-ready and ready to support the family’s adventure. They are seeking a candidate with strong experience in caring for infants and toddlers who is confident in caring for two children at once. The perfect candidate is an experienced traveler with a strong sense of adventure, supportive, and adaptable to new environments, while providing reliable support both at home and on the road.  
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish and embraces a mindful and holistic lifestyle.

Qualifications: 

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Travel nanny experience
• Infant and toddler experience
• Ability to care for two children at the same time 
• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Cat-friendly
