  • Location: SoHo, Lower East Side, New York, NY. The family is planning to move to the Upper West Side or Upper East Side of New York next year.
  • Ages of children: 4 and 2 years old, and a baby due in April 2026!
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, with flexibility depending on the family’s needs and travel coverage.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $130k-$150k/year with the ability to go higher for the right candidate. Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a housing stipend for candidates who would be relocating to NYC for the role, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

Household dynamic:

  • This outgoing, private, and happy family of four, soon to be five, is seeking a Mandarin-speaking nanny to support their growing household as they prepare to welcome their third daughter this spring! Their older children, ages 4 and 2, currently attend a Mandarin immersion program and will transition to a non-Mandarin school next year, as the family plans to move from downtown to uptown Manhattan before their eldest begins kindergarten. To support this new chapter, the family is looking to welcome a second nanny to work alongside their exceptional lead nanny, who will be primarily focused on newborn care. The candidate will take the lead in caring for the older children, while maintaining their Mandarin language exposure and supporting their day-to-day routines. The family also shares their home with a beloved dog.
  • This is a relaxed, organized, deeply open-minded household that encourages their children to express themselves freely. The family travels several weeks throughout the year, typically spending two weekends annually at their extended family's homes in the Hamptons and Miami. They also tend to travel to Europe in the summer and recently spent time in Japan, with plans to explore more destinations in Asia in the future. Their travel itinerary usually includes scattered weeks in the summer, one to two weeks in the winter, and a few days dedicated to skiing.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a warm, dedicated, and deeply committed Mandarin-speaking nanny. The perfect candidate is someone who genuinely loves working with children and is excited to support a growing, loving family. The family is hoping to work with someone who can help their older children continue developing and building their Mandarin language skills, while supporting their family’s transition as they welcome their daughter in the spring!
  • The right candidate will be a true partner, ready to collaborate with the family’s trusted lead nanny. Someone eager to learn from her, tag-team the day, and bring their own calm confidence, adaptability, and a sense of fun will excel in this role. The nanny will feel comfortable deferring to their lead nanny while also bringing their proactive approach to their care. As the children grow and the household needs evolve, there will be opportunity for the right candidate to grow into a lead or sole nanny role. The family values kindness, mutual respect, and women's empowerment. Someone who shares their ethos and values will fit in! The family loves traveling as much as they can, so someone who is travel-ready and excited to join them on their adventures will be an excellent fit. They truly value their nanny in their lives and see this role as a meaningful, long-term partnership. They are looking for someone who is eager to grow with them, build a strong connection with their children, and become a trusted and beloved member of this loving home.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Mandarin language fluency
  • Ability to travel with the family
  • Valid passport
  • Dog-friendly
