This welcoming Raleigh family of six—two hardworking parents and four fun-loving kids—has an opportunity tailor-made for someone who enjoys creating order, making meals, and pitching in with childcare when needed.

This role is primarily a Family Assistant position (approximately 70% household support / 30% childcare), ideal for someone who is confident and enthusiastic in the kitchen, organized, and happy to help with the flow of day-to-day family life. The children (ages 8.5, 7, 5.5, and 4) are all in school or preschool, so while childcare is part of the job, it’s not the main focus. Think: helping the kids make muffins, prepping lunches, tag-teaming school pickup, or supervising play while Mom wraps something up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking meals/snacks for the family
  
  
• Kitchen cleanup and general tidying
  
  
• Household organization, laundry, light errands, and minor chores (watering flowers, taking out trash)
  
  
• Provide backup support to mom for childcare needs including school pickups, helping with activities, prepping for naps, etc.
  
  
• Supporting the family’s values (the children may ask for a Bible story to be read or to pray before meals)

The mom is often in and out during the day and values someone who can both take initiative and partner with her; someone who makes her feel a little less like she’s going in a million directions.

Their Ideal Candidate is/has:

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in household management and/or childcare
  
  
• Confident and passionate in the kitchen
  
  
• Kind, proactive, and a natural problem solver
  
  
• CPR/First Aid Certified
  
  
• Fully vaccinated (childhood vaccines, COVID, flu)
  
  
• Clean driving record & non-smoker
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree a plus
