Description: 

A warm and active family in Chapel Hill is excited to welcome a dedicated, professional Full-Time Nanny to their home for a long-term position. They’re looking for someone who brings creativity, reliability, and a proactive spirit, while also enjoying the balance of caring for children and supporting a busy household.

The family has two young children: a five-year-old boy who is imaginative, active, and absolutely loves trains, and his three-year-old sister who is sweet, easy-going, and adores all things princess. Both children thrive on structure, kindness, and fun. Mom and Dad work from home (Dad full-time, Mom 3–4 days/week) and value a nanny who feels comfortable in that dynamic. Together, the family enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and traveling.

Ideal Candidate:
They are hoping to find a nanny who sees childcare as a meaningful career and is excited about becoming part of their family’s daily life. Someone who is reliable, organized, and proactive, with a genuine passion for early childhood development, will thrive here. A love for outdoor play, creative activities, and supporting school readiness is important, as is a calm, confident approach to guiding behavior. Strong communication and teamwork with the parents are also highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• Spending the majority of the day with the younger child while the older one is at school until 2:30 PM.
• Creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, encouraging imaginative play, and supporting daily routines.
• Providing full-day care for both children on school breaks, sick days, or closures.
• Helping with child-related household tasks: children’s laundry, preparing lunch and snacks, tidying play areas, and organizing seasonal clothing.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $24–$30/hour DOE
• Healthcare stipend
• Guaranteed 40 hours/week (even during travel or school breaks)
• Paid holidays, sick days, and vacation

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of professional nanny experience
• Reliable vehicle and clean driving record (must fit two car seats)
• Up-to-date on standard childhood vaccinations (including annual flu shot and initial COVID series)
• Non-smoker
• Excited about making a long-term commitment and growing with the family
