Description: 

A warm and welcoming family of three (soon to be four) in Wake Forest is seeking a professional, experienced nanny to join their household starting January 27, 2026. This long-term role will focus on providing exceptional care for their energetic toddler and newborn arriving in November 2025. The family values professionalism, reliability, and a nurturing yet structured caregiving style.

About the Children:

• Child 1: A curious and energetic toddler (will be 2 years old at the start of the position). He loves being outdoors, exploring new environments, and staying active. He is a good eater, good sleeper, and responds well to calm, consistent boundaries.

Ideal Candidate:

The family is seeking a career nanny with:

• Professionalism in communication and demeanor.
• Infant and toddler experience, ideally with two children at once.
• Energetic, active, and playful. Being able to keep up with a busy toddler, joining him on the playground, and encouraging healthy social interaction is important.
• Calm but firm approach that includes practicing positive redirection, offering choices, and reinforcing boundaries.
• Reliability - one parent regularly travels, so a nanny confident in their reliability is a must.
• Dog-friendly – as the family has two friendly dogs.
  
  

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
• Support children’s physical, emotional, and social development
• Plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities
• Prepare healthy meals/snacks and feed children
• Drive children to activities (clean driving record required)

While the children nap, the family would appreciate assistance with the following:

• Manage children’s laundry and maintain organized play areas
• Assist with light household chores and pet care as needed
• Grocery shopping on occasion
  
  

Position Details:

• Start Date: January 27, 2026
• Schedule: 34 guaranteed hours per week
  
  
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No Wednesdays (mom will be home)

• Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
• Benefits: Guaranteed hours + PTO + Holidays

Requirements:

• Non-smoker
• Current on vaccinations (Tdap, flu, and childhood vaccines)
• Comfortable caring for two children, including a newborn
• Infant experience required
• Dog-friendly
• Clean driving record + reliable vehicle for transporting children
