A family moving to San Jose from SoCal is seeking a loving, dedicated nanny for their daughter (currently 16 months old). Their little girl is calm and happy, talkative, loves to read, explore and play with their friendly Labradoodle. Responsibilities include planning fun activities based on child’s interests, engaging in play, preparing her meals and snacks, child laundry, light tidying, as well as some date nights (1-2x per month) and occasional overnights (about twice a year).

The best person for them feels like a co-parent and part of the family; someone who follows their daughter’s curiosities and fosters her interests. Their ideal candidate loves open communication and feedback, is professional, gentle, nurturing, and empathetic. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a long-term commitment as they will need help for the next few years at least.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a nanny with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Second language such as Spanish is a nice-to-have

Qualifications

  • COVID-vaccinated + boosted
  • TB and Tdap vaccine
  • CPR Certified
  • Valid driver with clean record and reliable vehicle for work-related driving (family will reimburse for mileage)
  • Local and lives with a reasonable commute (30 minutes or less)

Responsibilities

  • Proactively seeks out various activities for the child to expose her to different experiences
  • Follow child’s interests and curiosities
  • Act as co-parent and assist with child’s routine

  • Light tidying (child’s room, play areas, common areas, wiping down toys, etc.)
