Job Details
We are seeking a highly experienced ROTA Nanny for our client in Seattle to join a household team providing care for three children ages 6 years, 4 years, and 8 months. This is a team-based schedule alternating 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off with another nanny to ensure full coverage and continuity of care. The role includes domestic and occasional international travel.

The ROTA Nanny will provide care aligned with the family’s routines, values, and preferences. Responsibilities include planning and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, enrichment, and socialization, while supporting developmental milestones and learning goals. The nanny will manage daily routines, including meals, naps and bedtime, bathing, dressing, and school or extracurricular logistics. Coordination with the parents, household manager, and co-ROTA nanny is essential to ensure seamless transitions and communication between rotations.

Additional duties include maintaining a daily nanny journal, providing homework assistance, maintaining children’s wardrobes, laundry and inventories, packing and unpacking for travel, and keeping children’s spaces tidy and organized. The nanny will travel domestically and internationally during on-duty weeks, maintaining flexibility for short-notice trips, and must be comfortable driving children to school, activities, and appointments.

Schedule

• Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• On-Duty: 24/7 availability during on weeks, adequate rest breaks coordinated with the family
• Flexibility: Holidays and travel may fall within on-duty rotations

Accommodations: Live-in during on-duty rotations. A private bedroom and bathroom are provided within the family’s residence, along with all meals while on duty.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of full-time private nanny experience in formal or high-profile households
• Prior ROTA or travel nanny experience strongly preferred
• College degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development (preferred)
• Skilled with infant, toddler, and school-age development and routines
• Professional demeanor with strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving children
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Discreet with a commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and maintain an active, hands-on approach to childcare, including outdoor play, travel, and daily routines
