About the Family:
A warm and active family of four in Spokane, WA, is seeking a high-energy live-in or live-out nanny for two young children, ages 1 and 4, with a third child expected in May 2026. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and capable of creating a nurturing, fun, and engaging environment for active children. They should be skilled in providing structured routines, purposeful play, outdoor activities, sports, and developmentally appropriate enrichment.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required. The family plans to care for the newborn themselves for the first six months, during which the 4-year-old will be in preschool and the 1-year-old will be transitioning to daycare. After this period, the nanny’s primary responsibility will be the youngest child, who will then be around six months old and cared for throughout the day.

The family values candidates who can support healthy eating habits and prepare nutritious meals for their children. They are looking for a long-term, trusted partnership with a professional who can combine high energy and creativity with warmth, reliability, and the ability to maintain household routines as needed.

Living Situation:

Located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood, the home is close to parks and local cafés and offers convenient access to shops. Downtown Spokane is about 10 minutes by car, and Spokane International Airport (GEG) is approximately 15 minutes away.

The Nanny will be provided with a private bedroom and ensuite bathroom located on the main floor of a spacious single-family home. The bedroom is situated off the family room, offering privacy and separation from the rest of the household, as all other family bedrooms are located upstairs.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Transport children to preschool, daycare, and scheduled activities
    • Prepare healthy meals and snacks tailored to the children’s dietary needs, including breakfast and lunch
    • Plan and facilitate creative, developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
    • Support emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured learning
    • Incorporate Spanish language exposure through conversation, music, books, and daily routines (optional/preferred)
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of children’s spaces, including bedrooms and play areas
    • Perform light housekeeping related to the children, such as laundry and tidying up after meals
    • Travel with the family as needed for vacations or extended stays
    • Foster positive behavior and consistent daily routines
    • Communicate and collaborate regularly with parents regarding schedules, milestones, and any childcare needs

Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of childcare or nannying experience (required)
    • Experience caring for multiple young children simultaneously (required)
    • Previous live-in nanny experience (preferred)
    • Energetic and active; enjoys outdoor play and physical activities
    • Willingness to travel with the family as needed
    • English fluency required; Spanish fluency is a plus but not required
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with parents
    • CPR and First Aid certified
    • Ability to swim
    • Up-to-date TB and Tdap vaccinations
    • Possess immaculate references from all former employers for the previous 3–5 years of employment
    • Ability to take and pass an extensive criminal and background check
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • Non-smoker
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States
    • Commitment to long-term employment: minimum 3+ years, with preference for candidates seeking 5–10 years with the family
