  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule:Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours/week. The family is flexible to decide on an ideal schedule with the candidate. Candidate can expect the agreed-upon schedule to fall between the hours of 8:30-5:30 Monday-Friday. Flexibility to adjust for an occasional early start or later end time is ideal.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $72,800 - $83,200/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

Household Dynamic:

  • This warm, engaged, and organized family is seeking an adaptable nanny/family assistant to care for their cheerful, curious infant while supporting the smooth operation of their household. From the very beginning, their little one has been observant and eager to explore the world. He is an easy sleeper who thrives on consistent rhythms, loves being read to, and delights in discovering new textures, sounds, and faces. He also has a large, gentle dog as a beloved “fur-brother,” and the family hopes to find someone who genuinely enjoys being around dogs.
  • Both parents work primarily from home, and Mom enjoys being part of baby’s day. Extended family lives nearby and loves to visit occasionally. While the baby naps or enjoys time with relatives, the ideal candidate will feel confident taking initiative with other child-related tasks or light household responsibilities, keeping the day running smoothly and proactively identifying needs.
  • The family values honesty, curiosity, and a spirit of collaboration. They believe in clear communication, mutual respect, and creating a calm, joyful home for their son to grow in. They hope to welcome a long-term partner who brings warmth, professionalism, and creativity to the role, and who shares their belief that caring for children is deeply meaningful work.

Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate is warm, highly organized, and adaptable—a calm and confident presence who delights in children’s discoveries and enjoys bringing structure and creativity to the day. They should have a can-do attitude, be able to identify what needs to be done and take initiative, and take genuine satisfaction in keeping a household running smoothly.
  • Experience working with work-from-home parents and maintaining routines for sleep, feeding, and play—including outdoor time, neighborhood playdates, and local classes—is essential. The baby thrives on consistent crib naps and gentle, predictable rhythms.
  • The family is looking for a candidate who enjoys cooking and can prepare age-appropriate meals for their son that go beyond purees and baby food.
  • As the child grows, the candidate should have creativity and energy for supporting a toddler through milestones and planning sensory activities, arts and crafts, and water play in the summer. Beginning in September, the child will attend a few hours of part-time preschool each week; during those hours, the nanny/family assistant will focus on light household support and other family-assisting responsibilities. The family expects that preschool hours for their child will increase once the family adds a younger sibling.
  • Childcare responsibilities take priority and include providing attentive, loving care for the infant; maintaining established nap, feeding, and play routines; planning developmentally appropriate activities (including sensory, arts, water play, and outdoor adventures); reading daily and supporting early language development; and driving the child to local activities and playdates. Child-related tasks include but are not limited to laundry, tidying and organizing children’s areas, child meal prep and clean-up, toy rotation, and storage of outgrown clothing. Packing for trips is needed on occasion, though traveling with a baby is infrequent at this stage of the family’s life.
  • Family assisting duties include laundry and folding, dishwasher unloading, grocery shopping, occasional errands, occasional simple family meal preparation, and pitching in as needed to support household rhythms, ensuring the day runs smoothly.
  • The family values initiative, reliability, and humor, and takes pride in maintaining a positive, supportive atmosphere for everyone in the home.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers, including maintaining structured nap routines
  • Experience supporting families with work-from-home parents
  • Family assistant experience
  • Commitment to maintaining a calm, scent-free, and screen-free environment for baby’s wellbeing
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Valid passport
  • Pet-friendly and comfortable with a large dog
  • Ability to swim and supervise children safely near water
  • Current on standard vaccines, including MMR, TDAP, Hep B, Covid, and flu
