Household dynamic:

  • This close-knit family of five is excited to welcome an engaged and genuinely kind nanny to their family team. Their 11-year-old daughter is a bright, inquisitive, artistic child who enjoys creative and athletic activities. Their 8-year-old son is a kind-hearted, empathetic, sports-loving kid passionate about math and science. The youngest, a joyful 5-year-old, loves to play chess and is often winning against her siblings, parents, and likely their new nanny as well! The family has lovingly supported her through three open-heart surgeries and countless other severe health concerns, and they are amazed by her grace and strength through it all. Given her heart condition and immunocompromised status, the family maintains a strict protocol in their home to minimize the risk of exposure to infections and illnesses. The kids love Pokemon, manga and Star Wars and are excited to share these passions with anyone who will listen! They are in school until 3pm Monday - Friday.
  • The family is extremely community-minded and family-oriented and loves spending time with their large extended family, as well as hosting get-togethers with friends at their home. As their kids have gotten older and their childcare team has shifted, they have noticed a need for someone to support the household more holistically and be an extra set of hands in all things family-related! They are a progressive, nurturing, private family that promotes love and kindness above all else. They have a fully staffed home which includes housekeepers, drivers, and groundskeepers, and have an amazing history of longevity in their team. They look forward to inviting a candidate to the team who can integrate into their home and staff, adapt to their family’s style and structures, and be a loving, conscientious, and professional team member for years to come! Mom is highly organized and involved (she loves spreadsheets!) and is looking for someone who can move, groove and shake with her.

Ideal candidate:

  • The ideal candidate for this position will be intuitive, kind-hearted, highly engaged, and will strike a balance between confidence and adaptability. Someone with a genuine love for working with children and prior experience supporting families with family assisting tasks will be a natural fit in this home. Someone who can find calm in the joyful chaos of school-aged kids will fit right in! This role also includes physically supporting their youngest daughter by carrying or lifting her when she shows signs of fatigue or difficulty regulating her temperature. A nanny who can actively spot her during physical activities to ensure safety will be beneficial as she has made amazing progress, and continues to develop. The family is excited to work with a candidate who is highly organized and responsive to the variable needs of the family and the household - everything from making sure activity and sports bags are packed to supporting get-togethers at the home.
  • Due to their daughter’s compromised immunity, extreme medical sensitivity will be essential along with a willingness to follow the family’s COVID and other health safety protocols will be essential! Someone who is comfortable masking in public when in crowded indoor public places, taking care to sanitize and wipe down shared surfaces, and comfortable with daily PCR tests is essential to protect their youngest.
  • Responsibilities will include assisting with household routines, managing schedules and making sure the kids and their belongings are ready for their many activities, managing household inventory, organizing clothes, books and toys, light meal preparation for the kids, and pitching into the inner workings of the home with an all-hands-on-deck spirit. Mom is a passionate, highly-organized, and dedicated stay-at-home parent who enjoys partnering with their caregivers and hopes for a candidate with a deep sense of step-in and step-out intuition.
  • While not requirements, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience traveling with families and children, working in a fully staffed home and who loves to swim, ski, participate in water sports, and/or ice skate - their kids love these activities and they’re hoping their new nanny will be excited to join them!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for preschool to grade school-aged children
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Physically able to lift a 35+ pound child
  • Ability to adhere to strict healthy home / healthy child protocols
  • Fully vaccinated with all standard vaccinations (flu, RSV, T-DAP, COVID-19) prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws. The family will require a candidate to provide a full vaccination record ahead of hire to the extent that they are legally able to do so.
