FT Nanny / Family Assistant Needed in Pac Heights (January 2026)

A family in Pac Heights is seeking a career Family Assistant to help with childcare and household tasks. Their children are 5 (boy), 9 (boy), and 11 (girl) years old. Currently their youngest is in preschool from 12p-4p so care will focus on him with some help in the afternoons driving the older children. Once their youngest starts Kindergarten next year the schedule will allow for more household-related tasks including running errands, grocery shopping, purchasing gifts, etc. For now, the FA’s primary duties will be caring for their youngest, driving to/from preshool and activities or appointments, preparing his lunch, making dinner for the children, child laundry, and light tidying.

Their ideal person is easygoing yet professional, loving and engaging, and comfortable holding boundaries with the kids. Someone who sees themselves as a career nanny/FA will be the best fit as they are looking for longevity.

There is flexibility in the schedule. The family is open to Monday-Friday or 4 days/week depending on candidate’s preference. They will guarantee 40-50 hours per week from 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Note – beginning next school year when their youngest starts Kindergarten, the schedule will shift to a later start and end time (such as 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) to allow for more flexibility for household tasks, school pick-ups, and driving the children to after-school activities.

Experience Requirements

• 3 years mimimum experience working as a nanny / family assistant with excellent verifiable references

Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Spanish (nice to have but not required)
• ECE experience (nice to have but not required)

Qualifications

• COVID-vaccinated + boosted + willing to get updated on the booster if requested
• TB and Tdap vaccine
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver with clean record with reliable vehicle for work-related driving; family will reimburse for mileage; garage parking available for nanny
• Excellent comunication
• Loving but firm; holds boundaries with the children
• Young at heart; playful, fun, and engaging with the kids
• Experienced with all ages (Kindergarten – tweens)
• Organized and proactive
• Comfortable with parents working at home and coming and going
• Career nanny; seeking a long-term commitment

Responsibilities

• Spending time with preschooler (4 year old)
• Driving to/from preschool and activities
• Prepare youngest’s lunch for school
• Driving the older two children (ages 8 and 10)
• Laundry for the children
• Cooking dinner for the children
• Light tidying: picking up toys, load/unload dishwasher, organization, etc.
• Coordinate with house cleaners
• Once their youngest starts Kindergarten next school year, the schedule will allow time for additional responsibilities including grocery shopping and errands, purchasing gifts, dropping off / picking up dry cleaning, etc.
