  • Location: Noe Valley, San Francisco, CA
  • Ages of children: 3 years old and a baby due in February 2026.
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, with at least two evenings or weekend days per month, and flexibility for more.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $45-55/hour based on the 50 hours/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $129k-157k/year range. The higher end of the compensation scale will be commensurate with experience and/or Mandarin/French fluency. Additional overtime opportunities for covering date nights and occasional weekend days are available and appreciated!
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, holiday pay, and a health insurance stipend.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. This role is only open to local candidates.

Household dynamic:

  • This warm, fun-loving Bay Area family is looking forward to growing their team as they prepare to  welcome a new baby later this winter! Their home is light-hearted, peaceful, and is filled with books and way too many toys. Their curious little one loves trains, buses, and anything that moves! He is currently attending a French-immersion preschool full-time, and the nanny’s primary focus will be caring for him and supporting the family holistically around the house until the arrival of their second baby in early 2026. The family has a strong appreciation for languages; Dad's family speaks Mandarin, while Mom's family has French roots. They would love for their children to be immersed in either or both languages as they grow.
  • Both parents work from home in a dedicated office space. Their household is calm and grounded, and values clear communication, kindness, and a calm, steady presence. While travel is minimal and they haven’t traveled with a nanny before, they are excited about occasional travel in the future as their children get older. They are excited to find someone who feels at home in a relaxed yet organized environment and who will grow with them as their family expands!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a calm, gentle, and creative nanny who brings a nurturing presence to their care with children. A warm, steady, and grounded demeanor is key as the family’s toddler thrives with caregivers who are calm, emotionally attuned, and reserved. Both parents will have some time off by the time their newborn arrives and will value a candidate who is adaptable and able to provide consistent, loving care for their toddler during that transitional period. Someone with infant experience is essential for the role, as in general, the nanny will be spending most of their days with the newborn while the 3-year-old attends school. An intellectually curious nanny who is genuinely excited about supporting the growth and development of two young children will feel at home in this peaceful, respectful, and supportive household! The family is excited to meet someone who will approach each day with thoughtfulness, adaptability, and care. They’d love to meet someone who already has experience working with a toddler and newborn simultaneously!
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling occasionally with the family throughout the year. Someone who is willing and able to provide full-charge support, including overnight support, for their 3-year-old during the arrival of the new baby is key and appreciated very much!
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Mandarin or French and has experience dealing with a newborn and toddler in a role.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience working with infants
  • Familiarity with infant and toddler developmental milestones
  • English proficiency (both verbal and written)
  • Within a commutable distance of Noe Valley
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport
