Nurturing, Reliable FT Nanny for Growing Family in Oakland

Full-time
Salary: $40.00 - $45.00 Hourly
Application Deadline: Jan 31, 2026
Live-out Nanny

A family in Oakland is seeking a nurturing, reliable nanny to help care for their two older children (11-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy) and adapt to their changing needs as they have a baby due mid-February. Their older kids are very intelligent, love to read, play games, and are creative. They are kind, energetic, and active kids. In the beginning this person will primarily care for their 11 and 12 year old as mom will be on maternity leave until June. This person will fully take on care for the baby once mom goes back to work, but they need someone adaptable who can pitch-in where needed. Scope of duties include driving the children to/from school and activities, homework help, child laundry, light tidying and organization, and preparing meals and snacks for the children.

Their ideal candidate is punctual, engaging, and proactive. The best fit for them is a career nanny who honors the parents’ ways of doing things and is open minded to their preferences. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting longevity as they know they will need help for at least the next 3-4 years.
