The family would love a nanny who is flexible and open to traveling for planned vacations or work adventures. Please be comfortable in a dynamic household, as mom works mostly inside the home while dad travels often for work. The family will need someone flexible, who is open to traveling extensively with them both domestically and internationally. The family also has a friendly German Shepherd/Husky/Ridgeback mix who is their first baby, and he enjoys walks and occasional outdoor adventures.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal nanny for this family is warm, grounded, and naturally easy to be around, with a calm yet engaging presence and a strong understanding of child development. The family would like the nanny to have recent experience caring for a child between the ages of 9 and 12 months old, as well as knowledge about baby products and this stage of development. Come into this job with ideas! They’re looking for someone who is organized, patient, and reliable, with excellent problem-solving skills and a consistently positive attitude. This family values emotional intelligence and seeks a nanny with a deep ability to read unspoken cues, create a peaceful environment, and adapt to the baby’s evolving needs. The perfect fit will be confident in establishing and maintaining consistent sleep and feeding routines, while also bringing creativity and joy through age-appropriate, stimulating activities. The nanny will ideally research enriching local classes and outings, help maintain a tidy and organized home environment, and assist with light household duties, such as baby laundry, food preparation for baby-led weaning, and occasional errands. A nanny who enjoys cooking simple meals or helping with light family meal prep would be a wonderful bonus. While a college degree is not required, a strong foundation in child development is essential. Fluency in English is a must, and the ability to speak an additional language would be highly valued. The family is also seeking a nanny who is open and enthusiastic about traveling extensively with them. Please have a clean, reliable vehicle and have experience driving children.
Job Synopsis: Step into a unique and rewarding role as a travel nanny for a joyful baby girl! Your days will be filled with meaningful moments, including preparing healthy meals and snacks, keeping her spaces tidy and cozy, and supporting her growth through loving, attentive care. The family’s home base is in sunny Orange County, offering exciting travel opportunities that shift each year in line with their work. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, including some nights and weekends. Please be extremely flexible with travel and lead a lifestyle that supports this. Last year, this family traveled for a total of eight months, as the dad filmed on location. This role offers compensation of $45/hour gross, with paid vacation, sick days, and holidays, as well as comfortable accommodations while traveling. Vaccination Requirements: This family is seeking a nanny who is current with the Tdap and MMR vaccines and is open to receiving the seasonal flu vaccine.
