They are looking for an healthy, active, college-educated professional with at least three years of toddler care experience who approaches childcare as a meaningful career rather than just a "job". The ideal candidate brings a career mindset, calm, positive energy and genuine passion for early childhood development, thrives in the Pacific Northwest's climate, and is committed to growing with the family for 3+ years. This role suits someone who is safety-conscious and situationally aware, with excellent judgment and the ability to set consistent boundaries while fostering a screen-free, education-focused environment. The family values structured, even-keeled caregivers with backgrounds in education, music, or Montessori who can nurture their son's natural curiosity and prepare him for future sports activities. Parents have enthusiastic support for continuing education including conferences and ECE coursework. Conversational Spanish or Mandarin skills are welcomed but not required. Preschool teachers are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills:
Preparing healthy breakfasts and supporting morning routines including potty training and teeth brushing. Daily responsibilities include planning developmentally appropriate activities, facilitating the child's current art, music, and gymnastics classes, organizing park outings and nature walks, and providing engaging indoor play without screens. Light household duties include tidying the kitchen, managing the child's laundry, taking out trash, running occasional errands, and proactively handling tasks like changing sheets, restocking supplies, and placing orders. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional cleanliness standards, follow strict hygiene protocols including immediate hand washing upon arriving home and maintaining the no-shoes household policy, stay current on all vaccinations, and possess current car seat safety knowledge. The position requires a valid driver's license with a clean record, a valid passport for monthly or bi-monthly domestic and international travel, swimming ability for water safety, and the physical stamina to keep pace with an energetic toddler.
