Full-Time Nanny Position

A warm, kind, and private family in Charleston, SC is seeking a full-time/live-out professional, experienced, and warm career Nanny to join their household.

They currently have a two-and-a-half-year-old and a 15-month-old, and are hoping to expand their family soon. With that in mind, they would like a candidate who has experience with families who have three children and Infant experience is required. The family is supportive and values clear boundaries, respects days off, and appreciates reasonable flexibility. They are looking for someone to become a part of their family who has good communication, is hands-on, loving, and teaches values, patience, and kindness. A positive attitude with a proactive mentality is appreciated and welcomed in this home.

The position is available to start as soon as possible. Candidates seeking a long-term position only, please. 

A vehicle will be provided for child transport and any errand running.

Schedule

The schedule will be flexible with a start time of roughly 8 am most mornings, Monday-Friday, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. For the right fit, the family will provide 40 hours per week guaranteed. They are hoping to find a Nanny who is also available for date nights.

Responsibilities

• Full-charge care of both children at various points of the day.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
• Managing and maintaining daily routines, schedules, and smooth transitions
• Meal planning and prep, including snacks; overseeing and implementing healthy eating habits
• Children’s laundry, maintain tidy and organized child-related spaces, clean up after meals, load/unload dishwasher, and wipe down countertop and table
• School drop-offs and pick-ups
• Planning and facilitating age-appropriate activities, classes, playdates, and outings
• Supporting developmental milestones, imaginative play, and leading by example
• Coordinating naps, afternoon activities (have a plan B for inclement weather), bed, and bath time

• Loves the outdoors and encourages play outside
• Promotes imaginative play and creativity

• Drive to/from activities
• Travel prep, pack/unpack
• Provide updates to parents as requested
• Understands that with the addition of a newborn, things will shift and flexibility will be required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role with children of approximately the same age
• Infant care experience
• Understands child development and age-appropriate expectations
• Ability to navigate the city comfortably with two small children
• Overnight care on occasion
• Ability to work an occasional weekend is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Passport-ready preferred
• Ability to travel domestically required. Ability to travel internationally is a plus
• Seeking a long-term position
• Flexibility to work late when requested
• Comfortable with parents who work from home
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Legal to work in the U. S.
• Able to swim

Salary and Benefits

• $35+ per hour, Family will consider a higher rate for candidates who are truly flexible with their schedule and highly experienced.
• 10 days PTO, 5 paid sick days, paid federal holidays
