Schedule: Part-time, every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Example Day:
7:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Childcare — morning routine, breakfast, and school/camp/daycare drop-off
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Household assistant duties — laundry, light cleaning, meal prep, organization
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Extended lunch break
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Household assistant duties
3:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Childcare — after-school care, dinner support, and end-of-day wrap-up
Flexibility: Some flexibility required for staying longer or assisting 4–6 hours on one weekend day per month.
Compensation: $23–$28/hour DOE

About the Family & Position:
This busy and active family of five is seeking a part-time nanny and family assistant to support their home in Mequon, WI. Both parents work full-time, and the family depends on reliable, consistent support to manage both childcare and household responsibilities. They are looking for a candidate interested in a long-term placement to provide stability and continuity for the children.
The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, reliable, and thoughtful, capable of balancing hands-on childcare during morning and afternoon hours when the children are home, as well as completing family assistant tasks while the children attend daycare, school, or camp. Responsibilities include supporting morning and afternoon routines, assisting with meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and overall household organization. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys working in a dynamic home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
- Manage morning routines, including breakfast preparation, dressing, teeth and hair brushing, packing bags, and preparing lunches/snacks
- Transport children to and from school, daycare, or camp, and support after-school activities
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate supervision, play, and engagement
- Support evening routines as needed, including meals, bathing, and wind-down activities
- Provide full-day care when children are home due to illness
- Engage children in meaningful indoor and outdoor play that supports development and learning
Household Duties
- Handle family and children’s laundry, including washing, folding, and organization
- Perform light household cleaning such as dishes, dishwasher loading/unloading, vacuuming, wiping counters, toy pickup, and bed-making
- Prepare meals for children and family dinners (approximately four per week)
- Assist with trash and recycling management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly household environment
Additional Responsibilities
- Communicate proactively and effectively with parents regarding routines, activities, and household needs
- Assist with household errands and related tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of childcare experience with children (required)
- CPR and First Aid certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required)
- Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance (required)
- CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- Non-smoker
- Up-to-date TB and Tdap vaccinations.
- Willing to make a 1-year commitment for long-term employment
- Solutions-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while effectively partnering with parents
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and household management skills
- Legal U.S. citizen or valid visa documentation.
- Ability to take and pass an extensive criminal and background check.
