A warm family in Pacific Heights is seeking an experienced full-time Nanny to care for their two young children (with a focus on the one-year old), beginning in January. The ideal candidate brings a calm, attentive presence and has strong experience supporting infants with feeding challenges, feeding aversion, and g-tube-assisted feeding. The nanny will work closely with the parents and feeding specialists to ensure safe, consistent care.

The family is looking for someone who is nurturing, communicative, and confident in managing all baby-related tasks, maintaining a safe and developmentally supportive environment, and providing guidance as the children grow. Local candidates, relocation not offered.

Requirements

  • Provide full care for both one-year-old children, including feeding, bottle prep, diapering, bathing, playtime, and daily routines
  • Support feeding challenges, feeding aversion, and g-tube care, including administering scheduled g-tube feeds, flushing the tube, maintaining cleanliness of the stoma site, handling pump or gravity feeds, monitoring for signs of discomfort or intolerance, and logging feeding details for parents
  • Manage baby-related tasks: washing bottles, baby laundry, organizing toys and books, and light tidying throughout the day
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Maintain minimal cellphone usage during working hours
  • Take children on walks, to local parks, and parent-approved activities
  • Assist with occasional date nights or weekend needs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the children

Light housekeeping includes:

  • Baby laundry
  • Cleaning bottles
  • Tidying common areas
  • Simple household organization

(Not a deep-cleaning role)

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of recent infant nanny experience (longevity in roles preferred; at least 1 year per job)
  • Experience with feeding challenges, feeding aversion, and hands-on g-tube care (or willingness to be trained by the family’s medical provider)
  • Comfortable collaborating with the child's feeding therapist, pediatrician, or medical team to follow established care plans for g-tube feeding and oral development
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Negative TB test
  • COVID-19 vaccinated + booster, flu shot, and TDAP
  • Fluent in English
  • Non-smoker
  • Strong verifiable references and willingness to complete a background check
  • Tech-savvy enough to communicate with parents via smartphone (but not phone-focused during work hours)
  • Comfortable working in a multi-story home and capable of navigating stairs
  • No pet allergies and comfortable around dogs
