FULL-TIME HOUSEHOLD ASSISTANT/COOK TO LIVE/WORK INTERNATIONALLY AND IN US
An UHNW internationally based family is seeking a full-time Household Assistant who can cook to support their household and children across multiple residences. This is a long-term, travel-based role with approximately six months per year spent in Tel Aviv, and the remaining six months split between two other locations (one in the US, one outside of the US).
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and service-oriented, with strong cooking skills and a thoughtful understanding of UHNW household dynamics. This individual should be comfortable assisting with children when needed, providing light housekeeping, laundry, and daily tidying, and supporting any needs that may come up. The candidates should demonstrate strong professional boundaries, respect for confidentiality, contributing input only when appropriate, communicating thoughtfully and avoiding unnecessary interruption.
This role is best suited for someone who understands how to operate within a high-functioning, UHNW household; anticipating needs, exhibiting mature judgement and knowing when to act independently and when to defer. It is important that the Cook/Household Assistant follows the parent’s directions with regards to food for the child.
Cooking and Kitchen Support
- Prepare daily meals and snacks for the family and child, with an emphasis on healthy, fresh food, without sugar and salt (for the child)
- Assist with meal planning, weekly menus, and grocery lists
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness
- Food shop, monitor pantry, refrigerator, and household food inventory; discard expired items and advise when restocking is needed
- Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards
Childcare and Household Assistance
- Provide light housekeeping and daily tidying
- Assist with laundry including washing, folding, linen/terry changeovers, and light ironing
- Support seasonal organization projects
- Help maintain a calm, orderly household environment consistent with UHNW standards
- Assist with child when needed, in partnership with the nanny and mother
- Help with supervision, meals, and age-appropriate activities as directed
- Independently find projects to complete, working self-directed
Travel and Professional Conduct
- Travel with the family internationally and domestically as required
- Operate with discretion, professionalism, and strong situational awareness
- Communicate clearly and respectfully, adapting to feedback and direction in a collaborative manner
- Demonstrate emotional maturity, flexibility, and sound judgment
- Previous experience working in a private household (references required)
- Strong cooking skills and comfort preparing meals for both adults and children
- Experience supporting families with children
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for extended periods
- Valid passport required
- Fluent in English; French and/or Hebrew a plus
- Comfortable providing light housekeeping and household support
- Calm, respectful, and emotionally mature demeanor
- Open to constructive criticism and able to follow instructions
- Non-smoker; clean background check
- Trustworthy, discreet, and adaptable
Location: Home base in Tel Aviv with remaining time split between US and non-US locations
Schedule: Full-Time, must work Saturday, Sunday and Monday (days off to be discussed – 2 days off/week)
