A high-caliber private household is seeking an exceptional, career nanny for their first child, with a targeted start date in June (no later than July 1st). At the time of start, the baby will be approximately 5–6 months old. The family is open to an earlier start (as early as May) for the right candidate to allow for a smooth transition from the Newborn Care Specialist.
This is a long-term, live-in position for a highly experienced, educated nanny who is committed to growing with one family.
The Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking a highly experienced, professional nanny with a strong background in early childhood development, infant care, and private households. The ideal candidate is nurturing, confident, organized, and brings a calm, structured approach to childcare.
Long-term commitment and solid, verifiable references are required.
Position Details
- Schedule: 5 days per week, averaging 50 hours
- Start Date: June–July 1st (earlier start in May considered)
- Live-In: Yes (private bedroom with ensuite bathroom, located within the main residence with privacy)
- Travel: Must be flexible for international travel during summers, with extended travel periods of 4–8 weeks
Responsibilities
- Full infant care and developmental support
- Creating and maintaining age-appropriate routines
- Supporting milestones and early learning
- Working collaboratively with first-time parents
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
- Traveling with the family as required
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a professional nanny in private households
- Early Childhood Education background or similar training/education
- Strong, long-term references with verifiable employment history
- Fluent in English (required)
- German and/or Spanish speaking a plus
- Comfortable working in a private, high-profile household
- Flexible, discreet, and professional
- Open to out-of-state candidates with long-term commitment
Compensation & Benefits
- $120,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience
