Full-Time Experienced Nanny / Family Assistant in Sacramento, CA

Family Syllabus: This wonderful family of six in Sacramento is looking for a rockstar full-time, proactive career Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their children and keep their household organized! They have four bright children: two girls, ages 18 and 19, and two boys, ages 16 and 6. The two older children will be in college, while the boys are in high school and elementary school. Please love dogs, as they have a 10-year-old beloved Yorkie who is part of the family! Both parents work both inside and outside the home and lead very active lifestyles! Their home is lively, and they love organization. The family travels extensively and also has a second home in Paris!

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive, detail-oriented nanny with a strong organizational mindset, eager to feel empowered quickly in all aspects of the household.  Please be excellent at time management, calm under pressure, professional, tech-savvy, compassionate, and reliable, someone who can truly be a team player, possess excellent communication skills, a kind demeanor, and high emotional intelligence. A love for working with children is essential, and this person should be comfortable supporting the children with homework and school projects. This is a fast-paced, ever-evolving role suited for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being an integral part of a dynamic, active family. Please be willing to travel domestically and internationally with the family and to care for the children overnight when the family is away.

Job Synopsis: Maintain a clean, organized, and smoothly running household by overseeing daily tidying, light cleaning, and general household resets, including care of common areas and the kitchen. Manage children’s laundry, linens, and closet organization; prepare after-school snacks and assist with light meal prep; organize backpacks, sports equipment, and activity bags; and support daily routines for both a 6-year-old and a 16-year-old, as well as assist with household needs when college students are home. Handle grocery shopping, restock household supplies, and run errands such as dry cleaning, returns, and post office visits; receive and organize deliveries; track household inventory and notify parents of necessary items; and coordinate with service providers as needed. In addition, provide personal assistant support by helping with scheduling, calendars, and reminders; managing school communications, forms, and logistics; making appointments and coordinating family-related arrangements; and supporting planning for events, travel preparation, or special projects as requested. The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday from 10 am until 6 pm with flexibility. This role pays $40-45+/hr and offers 2 weeks of paid vacation, sick days, and holidays. This role also requires a clean driving record, as you’ll drive the kids to their activities and errands when needed. The family will provide a nanny vehicle if needed. The family is hoping for someone who lives relatively close to Sacramento, but they are open to a relocation package.
