Household dynamic:

  • This athletic, adventurous, and globally-minded family based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is seeking a nanny/family assistant to care for their children and support their growing family. Both of the children are very active and attend school, with the eldest especially enjoying library time and board games. The family is also excited to welcome their third child this summer. Playdates are common, and the nanny/family assistant may occasionally care for additional children.
  • This household has a dynamic, high-energy rhythm, with parents frequently coming and going. Mom is a free-spirited individual who prioritizes quality time with her children and is deeply involved in their day-to-day. Dad is all about quality time with the family, efficiency, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at home. As a family, they prioritize outdoor and physical activities, healthy meals and snacks, and emphasize sensitivity over a strict program, particularly for their oldest son. It is vital for their children to feel heard, loved, and cared for. Traveling is a regular part of the family’s rhythm, and they are hoping to welcome someone happy to support the family on scheduled or spontaneous trips. They take several weeks traveling throughout the year to Hawaii. When traveling, they often invite their nanny/family assistant to bring a friend, and when time allows, encourage you to participate in activities such as skiing, surfing, and exploring. While caregivers are welcome to join family excursions and dinners, they also respect your need for personal time and space.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a deeply loving, caring, attuned, dedicated, and outdoor-loving nanny/family assistant who feels like a true extension of the family. The right candidate brings a calm, grounded presence and can easily navigate the fast-paced, ever-changing rhythm of a busy household with three young children. They are seeking a warm, upbeat, and engaging candidate who can support outdoor play and experiences while facilitating interactive, age-appropriate activities that nurture the children's growth and development. An experienced candidate who is confident in caring for multiple children simultaneously in a role and has infant experience will be highly valued. This is a screen-free, wellness-oriented household, so the ideal candidate is someone who can embrace ‌present, engaged caregiving with personal device use limited to work-related tasks or urgent matters only.
  • The family values a creative planner with a warm, receptive personality who is organized, proactive, and adaptable, striking a balance between spontaneity and stability. Clear and frequent communication regarding whereabouts, plans, and needs is essential. The nanny/family assistant should be able to follow directions, set priorities, and ensure that the day runs smoothly despite changes. The family would love to work with a candidate who values clear, proactive communication, especially with Mom, who serves as the primary point of contact and prefers to stay closely informed and involved in all aspects of childcare and household management. Someone excited and comfortable with varied experiences, ranging from luxury accommodations to rugged outdoor adventures, will be a wonderful addition to the team. The family will highly appreciate someone who has worked with well-resourced, fast-moving households. They are excited to welcome a candidate who is genuinely interested in supporting a vibrant, growing family and who is seeking a meaningful, long-term role.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, organizing/planning/scheduling age-appropriate activities aligned with family philosophy, while following parents’ direction, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, preparing children’s clothing, equipment, and gear, occasional errands, before and after school routines,  coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties are running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks a second language, has family assisting experience, and has demonstrated longevity in their previous roles.

  • 5-10 years of experience as a professional nanny
  • Experience caring for an infant
  • Experience caring for 2+ children

  • Valid driver's license
