Job Details
Our returning agency client in Wayzata is seeking a polished, adaptable Travel Nanny to support their elementary school-aged daughter. This is a long-term role with a thoughtful family who values consistency, professionalism, and strong personal fit above all else.  The child is in school full-time, and the position offers a predictable school-year schedule paired with full-time hours during travel periods and summer months. The family offers guaranteed hours, whether utilized or not, during the academic year to provide income stability for the nanny.

The nanny will be responsible for after-school care, including school pick-up, facilitating homework completion, preparing simple and nutritious snacks or meals, and engaging the child in age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity, independence, and fun.  During travel and summer periods, the role expands to full-day care, maintaining routines while adapting seamlessly to new environments.  The nanny will partner closely with parents to support structure, emotional development, and consistency across home and travel settings.  The ideal candidate brings a calm, confident presence and understands how to balance guidance with autonomy for a school-aged child.

• Schedule
  During the school year, the schedule is Monday through Friday from afternoon to 6:30/7:00pm.  During travel weeks and throughout the summer, the position transitions to full-time coverage at approximately 40 hours per week. Guaranteed minimum hours are provided during the school term.
• Travel Schedule
  The family travels regularly and is seeking a nanny who genuinely enjoys travel and flexibility.  Planned trips include a week in Europe in early March, spring break in Florida in April, Europe in June, and a week in Colorado in August.

Requirements

• Prior professional nanny experience, ideally with school-aged children
• Demonstrated experience traveling with families or managing care during extended trips
• Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Flexibility to adjust schedule during travel and summer months
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with parents
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Excellent references from previous nanny positions
