Inside Their World:

A close-knit Ohio family is seeking a well rounded, safety conscious nanny/household manager to primarily care for their newborn daughter, while also supporting their 4-year-old and 2-year-old sons and maintaining an organized, well-managed home.

Their 4-year-old son is very sweet and goofy. He’s bright, curious, and passionate about exploring and observing the world around him. He has big feelings, so a calm and patient approach is best to help him navigate them.  Playing with cars and trucks and playing outside, along with building and reading, are some of his favorite things.

His younger brother is an adventurous and independent 2-year-old boy.  Kind, funny, and full of personality, he brings a wonderful mix of silliness and mischief. The perfect nanny will gently enforce boundaries. Just like his brother, he enjoys playing with cars and trucks and building, and he also likes art and sports.

Both children gravitate towards fun and silly individuals who want to genuinely engage with them. Patience, warmth, and emotional awareness are key, particularly when supporting the boys as they learn to regulate their emotions.

Their newborn daughter is a beautiful, sleepy three-week-old.

Family Environment:

These parents blend an authoritative parenting style with firm and clear boundaries, paired with a calm and more laid back approach. They prioritize giving their little boys room to have fun adventures and bond together while fostering autonomy and creativity, only intervening when safety is at risk. While screen time is generally avoided to allow the kids to engage in active play, there is also space for quieter activities like watching a movie or a show together. Mom and Dad foster a respectful, fun, and above all else, safe environment that allows their children to grow and develop at their own pace. They prioritize dedicated one-on-one time with each child and describe themselves as a fun, goofy family who connect best with individuals that are warm, engaging, and feel like home, yet are firm, grounded, and safety-conscious. As a family, they love having their own traditions, like grabbing bagels together every Sunday. They enjoy all things, from playing outside and visiting their cousins and friends, to reading and making up stories and building forts. Travelling to adventurous places is also part of their lifestyle, and they’d love for their nanny to come with them to other states and abroad.

Who Thrives Here:

The ideal candidate is trustworthy, fun, and safety-conscious, bringing a flexible, upbeat personality paired with the judgment to know when to step in with a calm, firm approach, particularly during moments that require guidance or redirection. They are creative, playful, and lively, always coming up with new outdoor and indoor adventures to keep the kids entertained and having a great time, regardless of weather conditions. Someone organized, intelligent, and capable, who approaches problems with calm and confidence while maintaining a tidy, inviting, and well-functioning home. The ideal match is reliable, honest, and efficient, with a warm presence that naturally connects with family and their daily life. They excel at communicating with children in a caring, age-appropriate way and with parents in an open, transparent manner and anticipate needs before being asked. The family will value someone who is open to traveling with them when needed and equally comfortable providing care at home when the parents travel solo.

Daily Rhythm:

You will be responsible for caring for their 3 children, primarily their newborn, and supporting their routines and needs. Duties include planning fun activities and outings for the kids after school or on days off, handling school pick-ups and drop-offs as needed, and driving the kids to after-school activities. You will also prepare bottles for the newborn, wash/sterilize bottles, empty the diaper pail and restock the diaper bag. The household management side of the role involves home organization and maintenance, light meal prep, laundry, preparing for trips, vendor management, running errands, grocery stocking, and light housekeeping to maintain an organized and well-run household.

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Experience working with newborns and toddlers
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Reliable and insured vehicle
  • Clean driving record & ability to pass a background check
