Inside Their World:
An active, nurturing family is on the lookout for a patient, intentional, and long term nanny to support them in caring for their 5-month-old daughter.
She is a curious, playful baby who is currently breastfed and supplemented with formula. As she begins transitioning to solid foods, the nanny will help prepare simple purees and support her feeding routine, including bottle preparation and formula feeds. She loves exploring her toys, spending time on her playmat, and heading out for walks. Her parents share that she’s growing quickly and anticipate she’ll be an early walker. She can already sit independently for short stretches, is beginning to crawl, and has recently mastered rolling onto her back on her own.
Family Environment:
These parents follow an authoritative parenting approach and value clear boundaries, thoughtful redirection, and calm communication. They prioritize explaining the world around their child as she grows and are committed to maintaining a gentle, consistent tone in the home. Voices are never raised, and engagement throughout the day is important to them.
Mom works from home and typically travels once a month for short periods. Dad works a hybrid schedule and is home two days per week. As a family, they enjoy walks, bike rides, playing board games, watching TV shows, and cooking together. They are warm, engaged, and plan to grow their family in the future.
Who Thrives Here:
This role is ideal for a nurturing, patient, and well rounded professional who demonstrates good, decisive judgment and emotional intelligence. The family is seeking someone who is confident making informed decisions, communicates clearly and directly, and works with quiet assurance. A strong candidate is reliable, organized, and proactive, able to anticipate needs, maintain boundaries, and support their daughter confidently. They show genuine interest in helping children grow and develop, engage thoughtfully, and offer structure while remaining flexible. Comfort caring for more than one child in the future is important.
Daily Rhythm:
The nanny will provide attentive, age-appropriate care, supporting the baby’s routine and developmental milestones. They will plan and schedule fun, educational, age appropriate activities in the area, provide sick care if needed, and safely transport their baby to activities. Additional tasks include tidying up children’s common areas, preparing nutritious purees and bottles, washing and sterilizing bottles/breast pump parts, and safely handling and storing breastmilk.
